Toning things down: Gradient French Tip

Usually I'm all "COLORS! GIVE THEM ALL TO ME!" and then every once in a while I overload my senses and have  to take a break. So today, I'm going to show you a fun but very neutral mani.

I used Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Bandage and Ivory Skull for this manicure. Both of these were limited edition colors last fall. They are two of my favorites in my collection. Ivory Skull is my go to white, I'm going to be bummed when I use it all. Before I show you the gradient, lets see these two colors on their own.

Here is Bandage. This color is extremely close to my skin tone, but not quite there. It's the closest I've gotten so far.

Look at that white. Ivory Skull applies like a dream and is opaque in two coats. Can't beat that. I've got other whites and boy they are finicky.

Basically I took a makeup sponge soaked in water and did a quick gradient with the two colors over my white base. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. And because I can't leave things alone, I topped it off with a quick dusting of China Glaze Fairy Dust. Want to see an up close look at those sparkles? Good, because I have one for you.

And there you have it, a great neutral manicure, that lasted a whole day and a half before my color cravings kicked back in. :-)

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee
