Multichrome Flakie Gradient

Have you ever had an idea, executed said idea, and then realized it was the messiest thing ever and now you have to spend hours cleaning it up. That's how I feel about this mani. I used liquid latex to protect my fingers and it was still a huge mess. I don't know where I went wrong.

So basically the jist of it is that I wanted to show my multichrome flakie polishes some love. I did and made a huge mess. This is a gradient made with ILNP Electric Carnival and Neon Rosebud. I applied dabs to a wet cosmetic sponge and then sponged them on for full opacity. It was a mess, but I quite like the end result.

There you have it. Short and sweet, but pretty and multi-chrome-y. <--- That's totally a word!

Negative Space with ILNP Fame

I just found this in my draft folders! I have no idea how I forgot about it. This look is from months ago. I actually wore this to IMATS when the girls and I went. Talk about space cadet over here! So anyways...let's make this one short and sweet.

I used Fame from ILNP and thick chevron Nail Vinyls. Fame is filled with silver and gold flakes, plus holographic pigment. It is stunner that shouldn't be missed. When you are indoors its a light champagne gold color, but as soon as you walk outdoors BAM in your face prettiness. No lies!

How do you feel about negative space designs? Sometimes I love it and sometimes I'm like "meh".

#TheLacquerRing: Bikini Bottoms

#TheLacquerRing is ready to get it on in April! Woo! Can y'all believe it is April already? I feel like March disappeared and the days are blurring together its moving so fast. For April, Jess has picks. She actually picked out our polish months and months ago, she picked it out and as a celebration of awesome Jess related news, I bought it for all the girls and shipped it out. So today, we are all wearing I Love Nailpolish Bikini Bottoms.

This is a beautiful raspberry magenta holographic polish that is stunning! Two easy coats gave me this flawless finish and the rainbows in it are stunning. Too bad the East Coast hasn't see the sun in ages, so you'll have to do with these for swatches.

So to all my lovely ladies, I'm so happy we are celebrating Jess with this awesome polish. Love to everyone, including you readers! <3

#StampingSaturday: Timeless Vow & Chevrons

So for this week, I started with ILNP Timeless Vow. This is from their new Spring/Summer collection and it's so freaking stunning! It's a soft sage green holographic polish filled with gold chrome flakies. I used three thin coats for the full coverage below.

Cannot get enough of those flakes in the polish. So pretty! Next I went in with MoYou London Fashionista Plate 04 and Mundo de Unas Iris. I also threw on a "love" nail charm, which for the life of me, I have no idea where I got.

Faded Neon Rosebud

I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekends. Sadly for me I have to be at work on Monday. No holiday for me. :-(

Today I'm showing you a fun striped look with two Indie polishes. My base is Floss Gloss Faded. This is a greyed out denim blue. It's a really unique color and I'm a huge fan. This is two easy coats.

I then used straight Nail Vinyls to add stripes of ILNP Neon Rosebud. These multi-chrome flakie polishes are everywhere lately but they are SO GORGEOUS! Neon Rosebud goes from blue to green/yellow and magenta. It's so stunning and I love the way it accents Faded.

As a final touch, I matted the whole look with my Revlon Matte topcoat. I much prefer it matted vs. shiny.

#TheLacquerRing: Stars

#TheLacquerRing is back for the second prompt of the month. This month Lesley aka @msfitlesly has picks. For the color prompt she chose magenta which you may remember. For the art prompt she chose stars. I cannot wait to see how everyone interprets this prompt. I think I came at it from left field but I love my end design.

Lets start with my base. This is two gorgeous coats of Morgan Taylor Super Ultra Violet. Super Ultra Violet is a "blurple" it straddles the line between navy and deep purple.

I then sponged on ILNP Supernova on in random patterns on my nails. This is one of the new Ultra Chrome Flakies. I had such a hard time capturing the color shift on my nails. It goes from green, blue, and purple in the right lighting.

Finally I did my stars. I looked up constellation patterns and dotted on "stars" in the patterns of the constellations. On my thumb you'll find Leo, pointer is the Big Dipper, middle is Orion (MY FAVE), ring finger is Cassiopeia, and my pinky is Aires.

I love the idea of doing the constellations on my fingers. My dad taught me how to pick them out when I was little, so it was fun to use them in nail art.

Black & White Clouds

Do you ever have an idea that when executed makes you giddy with happiness because it worked out exactly like you wanted? This is one of those looks for me. I was recently whining to my mom about my job and she told me "every cloud has a silver lining." She's right of course and this manicure was born out of that advice.

The black is Zoya Willa*, easily my new favorite black creme polish now. The white is OPI Alpine Snow and the silver lining is ILNP Mega (L). I love the way the rainbows peek out from Mega (L) in between the two cremes. What do you think?

#TheLacquerRing: Teal

So it's #TheLacquerRing time again and I've been waiting for this for months. It's FINALLY my time to pick y'all! I've been waiting and waiting and now the girls have to do my color and my design prompts. Muahahahah!

Ok, maybe I got a little carried away there. But seriously, the color is TEAL because I love teal. Favorite color ever! I cannot get enough of it. I love it so much I pulled out 22 bottles and whined to my husband that I couldn't pick just one. I made him pick 5 for me and I used one for each finger. Lets take a look.

I'd say its easy to see I love teal, especially shimmery rainbowy (totally a word) teal. I ended up with two metallic finishes, two holos, and a jelly sandwich in a bottle. From thumb to pinky the polishes are OPI I Saw it on Teal-avision, AEngland St. George, Emily de Molly Oceanic Forces, I Love NailPolish Fall Semester, and Butter London Bluey.

Champagne Blush & Black Orchid

So I don't know if you've already seen polishes from I Love Nailpolish's Fall Collection but I don't care because I'm going to show you two that I picked up. I already showed you Mega (L), Iconic and Fall Semester, which are all part of this collection as well.

Up first we have Champagne Blush. This is vintage pale pink packed with holographic rainbows and a gold shift. Can we say love...because I love this polish.

While I love the last polish, obsessed is a mild word to describe how I feel about Black Orchid. This is a color of the year contender for me. This is a deep burgundy purple polish filled with RAINBOWS! This color is sexy, beautiful, and so much more! Ugh I just can't describe it to you, you'll have to see for yourself.

What do you think of these two? You want both of them don't you. I can tell.

#StampingSaturday with ILNP Iconic & Fall Semester

OH MY GOSH YOU GUYS!!!! Exactly a week from today I will be getting married!!! There is still so much to do, but its so close. I cannot wait. AAAAAAHHHHHHH!

Anyways, I have a fun look for Stamping Saturday! I started off with a base of I Love Nail Polish's Iconic. This is a beautiful gold holographic polish that seems to shift a little pink in some lights. It's amazing and I'm in love with it.

I then stamped it using ILNP Fall Semester, because one holographic polish wasn't enough. ;-) I used several different chevron designs off of MoYou London UK Fashionista Plate 04.
