Polish M American Spirit

Late night post tonight. We're slowly getting settled into the new place but I wanted to take a few minutes to share the other half of the Land of the Free Duo. I showed you the other half which was Painted Polish Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Holo. The other half is Polish M's American Spirit. This is a beautiful soft white crelly polish filled with red, white, and blue glitters. I love this polish! It's super festive, but could be worn at any time.

Are you planning out your Independence Day mani? Which festive polish will you wear?

#StampingSaturday: Mermaid-ish

So I'm a day late for #StampingSaturday but I still wanted to get this up. It's been total chaos for the last several days getting this move done. We're officially all in the new place, but there are still boxes everywhere while we unpack and get organized.

For today's look, I wanted something mermaid like. I started off with a base of Different Dimensions Out With the Old, In with the Blue. This is a pale blue holographic polish that took three coats for full coverage.

I then dabbed on some splotches of Picture Polish Antique with saran wrap to add some dimension to the colors. Next I stamped on a scale-ish pattern with Mundo de Unas Light Gold and Winstonia W-111. I was so sure I had a true mermaid scale pattern and I don't. Anyone have any recommendations?

#TheLacquerRing: One Stroke Flowers

I'm going to keep this one short and sweet since it's moving day! EEK! #TheLacquerRing is back with June's art prompt of One Stroke Flowers. You may remember at the beginning of the month we did Turquoise Shimmer

I started off with a base of Painted Polish Life, Liberty & The Pursuit of Holo. This is half of the Land of the Free Duo, I've got the other half to show you tomorrow. LL&TPOH is a beautiful glitter bomb filled with red, blue, and silver holo glitter. It's so distracting out in the sun.

I then went in with blue and white acrylic paint to make the one stroke flowers. I added in some stamens with red to make my flowers super patriotic. It was my first time trying this technique so my flowers aren't great, but I like the overall look.

Be sure to check out all the other One Stroke Flower looks below!

Bohemian Tribal with Bellaluna Cosmetics

Moving chaos is still in full swing y'all! I legit packed up my clothes last night and forgot to leave out clothes to wear. Super smooth right? There are boxes everywhere and it's getting hard to navigate in our apartment. I didn't know we had that much crap. I thought I got rid of most of it when we moved from Kansas. Anywho...

I did this bohemian tribal-ish look with three colors from Bellaluna Cosmetics Bohemian Collection. My base is a stunning purple glitter bomb, Wild Child. The pink is Gypsy and the blue is Wanderlust. They both have beautiful shimmers in them, which don't quite translate for this look.

Can I just say that I'm really impressed with how crisp some of my lines are since I freehanded this. Most are wonky, but I'm getting better! :-)  Do you ever let a collection inspire you?

#StampingSaturday: Flamingos

Happy Saturday y'all! Today I took the hubs on his first ever trip to Ikea so we could get some closet systems for our new place. Living in NYC space is at a premium so everything has to be super organized! Needless to say, hubs was not thrilled with Ikea, and I don't think he wants to go back anytime soon.

Today I've got a really fun look for you, that I've been obsessed over lately. I just do not want to take it off at all. I started with a base of Illyarian Polish Sand Castles. This is a beautiful beige base filled with holographic gold particles. I absolutely adore it. Sand Castles dries very quickly, so I used three thin coats for full coverage.

I've been obsessed with flamingos lately, so I wanted to do them on my nails! They just scream summer to me, can't get enough. I used three different stamps from MoYou Tropical Collection 06 and 16. The pink is China Glaze Pool Party. For the main flamingo on my ring finger I filled in the flamingo with China Glaze Pool Party and the beak is OPI Where Did Suzi's Man-go?

So there it is. My flamingo isn't great as I managed to smear him during the application of my decal, but overall, I'm really happy with this look. Be sure to check out the other stamped looks below and feel free to join in!

The Perfect Match

Happy Friday Everyone!! I hope everyone had a spectacular week! My week has been craziness with buying new furniture, selling old furniture, picking out paint colors, figuring out closet systems (WHY ARE THE SO MUCH $$$), scheduling utility changes, and all other things moving related. We are now officially under a week from moving and the closer we get the less prepared I feel. Ugh! The good news is, I have a ton of stuff in my drafts, so there shouldn't be any change in my posting schedule. Wish me luck!

Today, I'm showing off a polish that has taken over one of my top 5 favorite spots. It's an exact match to my engagement ring (which I show y'all all the time!) and that makes me beyond happy. I literally texted Annie last night and said "Seriously! Like I know you know how pretty it is but....look at it!" with pictures. I'm sure she was face palming after reading that. :-) Without further ado, here is Cirque Colors Limoncello from the Juciy Collection. A holographic lemon yellow? Can't beat that. I used three thin coats for full opacity!

I decided to try a ruffian look with Limoncello and Lacquer Lust's One Lucky Unicorn as they made a perfect combo. I'm not too keen on this look, but I love the polishes and the way they combine.

There it is. Do you have a polish that's a favorite because it perfectly matches something you treasure? Let me know!

You can find Cirque Colors Limoncello here and Lacquer Lust One Lucky Unicorn here!

Glam Polish Wicked

So we got some really awesome news over the weekend, we'll get to move into our new apartment quicker than anticipated. But, it's ramped everything up, I'm in a panic trying to figure out closet systems, paint colors, movers, selling furniture that needs to go, etc. It makes for a lot of work in a small amount of time. Hopefully, I won't tear out my hair in the process. Thankfully, I have pretty polish to keep me sane.

Like this beauty. Glam Polish Wicked is a stunner and I love it so much. This is a blue leaning purple or blurple if you will, filled with microglitter, holographic particles, and some bigger blue hexes. It's a stunning combination. I used two coats for full coverage.

Glam Polish can be found online and they ship to the USA and Australia! I also believe they have international stockists if needed. Be sure to check them out!

#TheLacquerRing: Turquoise Shimmer

Alright y'all! After celebrating my birthday yesterday, I'm ready to get back to the normal stuff, which is showing you nail polish! I can hear you breathing a sigh of relief. So...lets make this happen. Whoo! *On a side note, I had a bad break last week and had to chop off the nails, so be prepared for different nail lengths as I grow them back out but still post from saved mani's as well.

So the second Thursday of June is here and that means #TheLacquerRing is back! This week for our color prompt we are doing Turquoise Shimmer. This one was hard for me. I had to really think to about Turquoise with Shimmer. I have a lot of teals with shimmer, but they just aren't the same. Finally I settled on Elevation Polish Theo Wirth Parkway. This is a vibrant turquoise filled with multi-colored shimmer. This polish was really thick for me, but I didn't have any application issues.

I then decided to accent it with some silver dots, but it was kind of a fail, so I'll just show you the one picture. Dots were made with OPI This Gown Needs a Crown.

We do have some new faces who will be joining us in #TheLacquerRing going forward, everyone be sure to say HI! to Shelby and Rei. While you are saying HI! check out all the other Turquoise Shimmer looks from AmandaLesleyJessicaNicoleVoniFrosso, and Cynthia below!

Pretty & Polished Caramel Apple Pie

So lately I've been playing with my photo backgrounds. I'm bouncing between my usual dark blue, a silver, and this blush pink one. Do you have a favorite? I feel like the pink is really close to my skin tone, so maybe it isn't the best. Anywho.....let me know what you think.

So this is Pretty & Polished Caramel Apple Pie. CAP is a thermal that goes from a light creamy beige when warm to a soft rose color when cold. It is filled with the prettiest golden shimmer as well. This applied easily in just two coats.

Now...this polish did not transition that easily between shades for me. Usually when I wear thermals I get a natural gradient on the tip, but for the life of me I couldn't get this one to change. When it finally did change, I had to subject my hand to EXTREME temperatures. I have a feeling if I wear this one again, it'll just be because I like the warm color.

I usually love thermals but this one is hard to love because it was so hard to change. I do love the transition there, but I wish I could get it to last without risking frostbite.

This polish sparked the "CAR-mel" or "cara-mel" conversation in my household. What do you say?
