#31DC2015: Galaxy and #StampingSaturday

Another day another #31DC2015 look. Today is also #StampingSaturday so once again, I've combined the two. Today's challenge prompt is Galaxies. I love a good galaxy look. They are so fun, yet so easy to do.
For today's look I started with a base of Polished by KPT Wreath for the Stars. This beauty looks like a galaxy in a bottle, so it makes the perfect base for a this prompt. This polish is a black base filled with green to purple color shift and silver holographic glitters. I used three thin coats for full coverage.
There you have it! Galaxies on my fingers. Tomorrow is my ultimate nail art nemesis, the dreaded water marble! We'll see how it goes.

I then went in with a TON of polishes to great the galaxies. I started with a neon purple polish that I picked up from Cirque Colors sample sale. I then layered on Maybelline Color Show Ultra Violet, Polished by KPT Underneath the Milky Way, Color Club In De-Nile and Over the Moon. Once my galaxy bases were done, I stamped on stars from Uber Chic 2-03 and the supernova image from Bundle Monster BM-610. The white polish is Sinful Colors Snow Me White.
There you have it! Galaxies on my fingers. Tomorrow is my ultimate nail art nemesis, the dreaded water marble! We'll see how it goes.

#31DC2015: Delicate Print

Day 15 of the #31DC2015 is upon us, halfway there! Today the prompt is Delicate print. We all know there is no way I can get a delicate print without stamping. I'm just not that skilled. I went for an overall delicate and girly look, so lets take a look at the progression.
My base is Serum No 5 Awesome Blossom a bright pastel pink. Fun fact, this one glows in the dark, but I still can't figure out how to get pictures of that. My accent nail is Polished by KPT Vacay 2 Venus, a holo glitter in pale pink. I adore the way these two polishes work together.
I then went in with M Polish To Have and to Holo, a holo stamping polish (yes, you read that right!) and It Girl Nail Art IG 1-03* for the print. I'm loving this print over the pink and they way the holo stamp and the glitter play together.
And there you have. Day 16 is geometric! I'm looking forward to this one.

Do you all ever get unispired? That was me this whole last week. There has been a lot of change going on in my life, good change, but it can really zap your energy and leave you feeling less than creative. Between buying a place, starting a new job, directing a kids show, working at Cirque once a week, and training for a half marathon I'm exhausted. Like I was so exhausted, I didn't change my mani for 10 days straight, exhausted. But again, I can't really complain because all these things that are exhausting me are really awesome!
My uninspired self put on an awesome does all the work polish this week. This is Polished by KPT's Blood as Thick as Gold. How have I never worn this beauty before? BaTaG is a deep maroon red that transitions into the perfect peachy nude and its filled with the prettiest gold flakes. You can see the transition from cold to warm in my photos below.
I love how thermal polishes give you a natural gradient. They also cause me to stay in the shower at least an extra five minutes because I'm doing the hot/cold "oh" and "ah."

I'm going to make this post for #StampingSaturday nice and quick. I started off with a base of Polished by KPT's Mars Escapade (purple) and Light Years (silver). Mars Escapade is a gorgeous thermal that ranges from purple when cold to reddish orange when warm.
I then used Konad Black and MoYou London Kaleidoscope 06 to stamp on some fun patterns over Light Years.

#TheLacquerRing is back y'all! These two posts are my favorite each month because I love getting the color and art prompts and then seeing how we all interpret it. This month Lesley aka @msfitlesly has picks. For the color prompt she chose magenta.
Lucky for me, I got my shipment of the new Polished by KPT Cosmic Xodus collection in, which just happens to have the perfect magenta polish in it. So here is my magenta pick, Wave Function. WF is a goregous magenta jelly base packed with holographic glitters that flash purple, red, silver, and rainbow depending on the lighting.
That friends, is my magenta manicure. What do you think? Plain or with the accent nail? I'm undecided. Be sure to check out the other magenta manis below by my talented friends.

The name Wave Function inspired me so I added an accent nail using Polished by KPT Light Years and KBShimmer Wavy Lines Vinyls. Light Years is a silver polish made up of tiny bar glitters aka hairy glitters as my friend Val calls them.

I don't think its any secret that I'm in love with thermals. Especially thermal polishes from Polished by KPT. Katherine makes the most beautiful polishes and her color combos are to die for. When Do You Wanna Fanta? was announced, I knew it had to be mine. Immediately! Seriously, an orange to pink thermal, I could not wait.
Here is Do You Wanna Fanta? in it's cold state. It's a beautiful bright orange filled with tiny flecks of purple, pink, and blue in it. My pictures do not do this one justice.
Here it is in the warm state. It's a watermelon pink, those same flecks look beautiful in this state too!
Finally, here is Do You Wanna Fanta? in it's transition state. This was the way it was on my fingers when I wore it. I love the natural gradient you get with thermals.

So this weekend I am lucky enough to get out of the city for the weekend. It's a refreshing to be out of the city and to enjoy clean air, beaches, and sunshine. Maybe a little too much sunshine as I totally look like a lobster after my long day.

For my Stamping Saturday look, I started with a base of Polished by KPT's Color Me Purple. This is a beautiful thermal that is a dark royal purple when cold and goes to a very light lavender when warm.
The top picture is cold, middle is transition, and bottom warm. It's a beautiful color. For my stamped look, I stamped BM-205, flowered look, with China Glaze Pool Party, a neon pink.
The design is kind of hard to see, but its fun doodle type flowers. I really enjoyed the combo of the pink over the thermal. It made a fun look that changed based on the temperature of the polish.

Stamping Saturdays: Polished by KPT Vanda

It's Stamping Saturday again, and I think y'all know what that means. Also I hope you don't mind that I'm on a bit of a thermal kick lately. I wore Being in the Pink because I was impatiently waiting on a shipment of new thermal polishes, but I was most excited about the one I'm going to show you now. This is Vanda. Vanda has the most extreme color shift I've ever seen. It goes from a bright baby blue to a vibrant violet. My gawd, is it pretty.
Vanda is named after an orchid, so to pay homage to the original name, I chose to do a subtle stamping with Sally Hansen Silver Sweep and a delicate flower pattern from BM-221.

Nothing makes me happier than a nailpolish with a fun aspect. Give me one with two fun aspects and I'm in fan girl heaven. Today I have Polished by KPT's Being in the Pink. This is a thermal (fun #1) that goes from a pink to purple. Add in some holographic rainbows (fun #2) and you've got a beautiful polish that will distract you while you are supposed to be working. No seriously, that happened yesterday. I couldn't stop staring.
Being in the Pink has a wonderful, smooth formula, and this is two easy coats. The first three photos are of the polish in it's natural transition state on my fingers.
Below you can see it in the full warm state. Such a pretty pink.
