#TheLacquerRing: White

I know that you all anxiously await our bi-monthly #TheLacquerRing posts (or is it just me?). I love pairing up with the girls to all use the same prompt and see how we interpret it differently. As you may remember from previous months, we always do a color for the first prompt and an art prompt for the second. Today we are doing White nails.
I started with a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls for this look. MBSW's is the perfect white. It isn't as stark as some and applies perfectly in two even coats.
Now, I know there isn't a lot of difference between the first picture I showed you and this next one. But bear with me. I topped OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls with a thick coat of Serum No 5 Sky Lights which is a shimmer filled glow in the dark topper. For an extra surprise I used the Love Angeline Stuck on Love Dahlia Nail Shields to create a fun invisible pattern on two nails. When you are in the dark, it's a fun surprise on the nails.
TA DAH! I'm totally geeking out over the fact that I managed to FINALLY get a decent shot of a glow in the dark nail polish. See the fun pattern?!?
Be sure to check out other fun #TLR looks in White from the ladies below.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#Stamping Saturday: The Silver Lining

I'm going to keep this one short and sweet. It's late and I'm tired, but today is my husbands bday (whoop whoop!) so I want to make sure this is done! For everyone's favorite day aka #StampingSaturday I have quite the fun look. For the base, I started with Serum No5 Silver Lining, a beautiful blue grey. It glows in the dark too. I may have scared myself in the middle of the night with glowy fingers to discover this. My accent on my middle and thumb is Love, Angeline Orchestrated Amethyst.

I then stamped on a swirly design with a rose using PUEEN 73 and China Glaze Gothic Lolita. Using a purple polish tied the accent nails and the rest together really well. I'm quite pleased with this final look.
Pretty cool huh? Don't forget to link up your stamped look below. I love when everyone participates!!
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Milk, Honey and Pumpkins!

I love discovering new brands, especially indie brands. I recently heard about Love, Angeline polish and decided I needed to try it out.
One of the polishes I got is called Milk & Honey. Milk & Honey is a white crelly base filled with pastel orange, mint, and aqua hex glitters of different sizes. I think I needed to shake mine a bit more as getting the glitters was a tad difficult for me, but overall, I love the way this polish looks. My swatch is 3 thin coats.

I wore Milk & Honey on its own for one day but then I decided to add some seasonally appropriate nail art. PUMPKINS! For my pumpkins and stripes I started with a base of OPI Where Did Suzi's Man-go. I then outlined my pumpkin and added sparkle to my stripes with Nail Pattern Boldness Fraken-pussy. That name still cracks me up. My stems are China Glaze Mahogany Madness and the vines are a mix of China Glaze I'm With the Lifeguard and Color Club Wild Cactus.
So what do you think of my pumpkins? I'm really shocked by how much I've improved since last year. I remember being so proud of those nails and this year there is a night and day difference.
