#StampingSaturday: You're So Boo-tiful
Saturday, October 24, 2015
10/24/2015 10:00:00 AM
Happy Saturday ya'll!!!! Anyone have super fun weekend plans? We went to see a concert last night and now we're just lazing about the apartment.
Today I have a fun beauty to show you. This is Serum No 5 You're So Boo-tiful. This is a black jelly filled with purple, fuchsia, green, orange, and silver glitters. Bonus...it glows bright blue in the dark. I used two normal coats for full coverage here.
Then inspired by the lovely Lo of Bruised Up Dolly I stamped on some spiders and webs from Uber Chic Halloween-01 in Sinful Colors Snow Me White. I then added on some flat backed pearls to give the spiders some dimension. I'm normally not a creepy crawly person, but damn, I love those spiders.
So there you have it! Only one more week of fun Halloween manis ahead. Do you want to see anything specific?
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#TheLacquerRing: White
Thursday, October 15, 2015
10/15/2015 10:31:00 AM
I know that you all anxiously await our bi-monthly #TheLacquerRing posts (or is it just me?). I love pairing up with the girls to all use the same prompt and see how we interpret it differently. As you may remember from previous months, we always do a color for the first prompt and an art prompt for the second. Today we are doing White nails.
I started with a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls for this look. MBSW's is the perfect white. It isn't as stark as some and applies perfectly in two even coats.
Now, I know there isn't a lot of difference between the first picture I showed you and this next one. But bear with me. I topped OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls with a thick coat of Serum No 5 Sky Lights which is a shimmer filled glow in the dark topper. For an extra surprise I used the Love Angeline Stuck on Love Dahlia Nail Shields to create a fun invisible pattern on two nails. When you are in the dark, it's a fun surprise on the nails.
TA DAH! I'm totally geeking out over the fact that I managed to FINALLY get a decent shot of a glow in the dark nail polish. See the fun pattern?!?
Be sure to check out other fun #TLR looks in White from the ladies below.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#31DC2015: Inspired by a Flag
Monday, September 28, 2015
9/28/2015 12:31:00 PM
The final countdown has begun. There is officially 3 days left of the #31DC2015 and I could not be more excited. I'm looking forward to a more normal schedule. ;-)
Today's prompt was Inspired by a Flag. I'm not going to lie, this one seems a little out of place with the rest of the prompts, but it is what it is. I really had no idea what I was going to do, but I decided to let my inner nerd flag fly for a bit and this is what you get. I chose to go with a flag from the show Firefly. If you don't know it....shame on you. Just kidding, but its fun and worth checking out. In the show there are two factions, one of them being the Independents (aka the Hero's side) so I chose to recreate that flag on my nails.
Since this is a space show, I started with a base of Serum No 5 Opposites Attract a black holo since it reminds me of those black hole pictures. I then freehanded my flag across two nails using China Glaze Shore Enuff, OPI I Just Can't Cope-acabana, and China Glaze Smoke and Ashes.
There you have it. Inspired by a flag nails. Tomorrow we're supposed to be inspired by the supernatural.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#31DC2015: Delicate Print
Tuesday, September 15, 2015
9/15/2015 10:00:00 AM
Day 15 of the #31DC2015 is upon us, halfway there! Today the prompt is Delicate print. We all know there is no way I can get a delicate print without stamping. I'm just not that skilled. I went for an overall delicate and girly look, so lets take a look at the progression.
My base is Serum No 5 Awesome Blossom a bright pastel pink. Fun fact, this one glows in the dark, but I still can't figure out how to get pictures of that. My accent nail is Polished by KPT Vacay 2 Venus, a holo glitter in pale pink. I adore the way these two polishes work together.
I then went in with M Polish To Have and to Holo, a holo stamping polish (yes, you read that right!) and It Girl Nail Art IG 1-03* for the print. I'm loving this print over the pink and they way the holo stamp and the glitter play together.
And there you have. Day 16 is geometric! I'm looking forward to this one.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Serum No 5 Moonlight

Today is just a quick swatch post. I wanted to show this beauty off since she's been sitting in my drafts for forever. I'm determined to get all the drafts published soon, but I keep doing new mani's I want to show off too! #bloggerproblems
Today I'm showing off Serum No 5 Moonlight, a soft grey filled with the most beautiful shimmer. This was three thin coats and I can't complain at all! This polish does glow in the dark, but I have NO IDEA how to take those pictures. I tried and it was a huge fail. You'll just have to take my word that it's a bright green glow.
That's it for today. If you know how to take glow in the dark pictures of polish....please tell me! Thanks!
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Serum No5 Luxe So Good
Thursday, January 8, 2015
1/08/2015 04:16:00 PM
There is something about a silver holographic polish that is just so gorgeous. Luxe So Good from Serum No5 allows me to wear a fun polish but also take a break from polish craziness. Sometimes a palette cleanser is needed.
Luxe So Good is not as in your face "HOLO" as some others that I have. It has the rainbows they just aren't as strong. This swatch is 3 thin coats. I did have some issues with dragging so make sure to let each layer dry for a bit before moving on.
So story time...I told you all about my blog New Years resolution, but my personal one is to run a 1/2 Marathon. I got talked into it by a friend, I have a date and a training program. But the thing is...I hate running. Its the worst. But I'm a sucker and agreed to do this so I'll be regaling you with all my aches and pains up until that date. Then we'll all go out for drinks after and I'll vow never to do something so stupid again.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#Stamping Saturday: The Silver Lining
Saturday, November 15, 2014
11/15/2014 10:00:00 AM
I'm going to keep this one short and sweet. It's late and I'm tired, but today is my husbands bday (whoop whoop!) so I want to make sure this is done! For everyone's favorite day aka #StampingSaturday I have quite the fun look. For the base, I started with Serum No5 Silver Lining, a beautiful blue grey. It glows in the dark too. I may have scared myself in the middle of the night with glowy fingers to discover this. My accent on my middle and thumb is Love, Angeline Orchestrated Amethyst.

I then stamped on a swirly design with a rose using PUEEN 73 and China Glaze Gothic Lolita. Using a purple polish tied the accent nails and the rest together really well. I'm quite pleased with this final look.
Pretty cool huh? Don't forget to link up your stamped look below. I love when everyone participates!!
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Festive Fourth of July Nails
Thursday, July 3, 2014
7/03/2014 10:51:00 AM
Tomorrow is my favorite holiday of all time. I know that some people may think thats a weird holiday to be my favorite but I love fireworks and setting them off makes my inner pyro happy. Sadly, living in NYC I won't get to set any off, but I'll still get to see an awesome display so I got that going for me.
This is the mani that I did for the holiday. I started off with a base of LVX Fantom on my thumb, pointer, pinky, and Color Club Harp on It, on my middle and ring fingers. I actually liked this clean and simple look and wore it on it's own for a few days.
I then covered Fantom in Serum No 5 What a Blast. This is a glow in the dark glitter topper packed with red, white, blue, and silver star glitters. It's amazeballs and perfect for the holiday!
I love the way this look came together. You get patriotic on three fingers and holographic sparkles that burst in the sun like fireworks on the other two. Its perfect for the holiday without having to put in to much effort.
Enjoy your holiday everyone! I'll see you on Saturday for #StampingSaturday.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee
