#StampingSaturday: Teal On Teal
Saturday, June 28, 2014
6/28/2014 07:30:00 PM
It's Stamping Saturday again! I missed the last two due to illness, but I'm back with an awesome mani. I used two untrieds for this look. Color Club Wild Cactus and Cirque Cerrillos. Up first I have just straight swatches of Color Club Wild Cactus. Wild Cactus is a bright teal polish that applies in an easy two coats. If you know me, you know I love a good teal polish. :-)

Then using Cirque Cerrillos I stamped on several images from the MoYou London UK Explorer Collection 03 plate.
I really love the way this look turned out. It's super subtle indoors but once you hit sunlight, it was stunning and in your face. What do you think of this look?
Don't forget you can join us below, and also grab the code, to add it to your own post as well! Can't wait to see what you come up with for Stamping Saturday!
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#TheLacquerRing: Tribal
Thursday, June 26, 2014
6/26/2014 11:00:00 AM
Today, The Lacquer Ring is back with their second installment for June. Amanda's pick for our art theme this month was Tribal. I did two different looks for this, one I loved the base, but hated my tribal design on top, so I'm labeling it a fail. I'll show you the base at another time.
For the look that actually makes the cut, I started with a base of Cirque Sky Woman. This is a lovely cornflower blue holographic polish that makes me weak in the knees. It is so stunning. Love love love it!
Finally I went in with my MoYou London Explorer Plate 01 and Konad Black to stamp on some tribal designs.
I really love the overall design here, even if a few of my stamps are a little crooked. I think I'll need to recreate this base and wear it on it's own at some point. It was so beautiful on its own.
Don't forget to check out the lovely ladies who make up the rest of The Lacquer Ring and what they came up with!

Then using the saran wrap technique, I went in with Cirque Xochtil, a bright purple holographic polish, and made a fun marbled base. These two polishes are both from the Heritage Collection, and they compliment each other so well.

National Pink Day - Jelly Sandwich
Monday, June 23, 2014
6/23/2014 09:51:00 PM
I heard a rumor that today is National Pink Day. In a strange twist of fate, I did pink nails for my latest mani, so it works out well.
Also, thank you for sticking with me when I had an unplanned hiatus. I got hit hard by a severe viral infection that put me in the ER for a while and sidelined me for close to two weeks. It was rough, but I'm finally starting to feel better, so I actually did my nails. ;-)
For today's manicure I started with a base of China Glaze Heat Index. This is a jelly neon pink polish. This is four coats and as you can see I still have visible nail line (VNL). Heat Index glows in the sunlight, it's insane how bright it is.
I then did a layer of Formula X Wham! which is a multi-shape white glitter topper. It has various sized hexes, micro, and bar glitters.
Finally, I topped it with a final layer of Heat Index. It turns the white glitter into a soft pink and amps up the neon polish. I love the soft but edgy look I ended up with for this mani.
What do you think? How is summer going so far?
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#TheLacquerRing: Holographic Pink
Thursday, June 12, 2014
6/12/2014 11:00:00 AM
The Lacquer Ring is back today with our first post in June. June's themes fall to the lovely Amanda and she chose Holographic Pink for todays color.
Pink I can get on board with, holographic makes it even better. For this look I dug out three very different holographic pinks. ILNP Molly, a raspberry pink scattered holo, Color Club Miss Bliss, a light pink linear holo, and Cirque's PowWow a bubblegum pink linear holo. Here is what I came up with.
What do you think? I love the mix the liner and scattered holographic give with each other. Don't forget to check out what Cynthia, Amanda, Lesley, Frosso, Jessica, Siobhan, and Nicole came up with as well.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#Stamping Saturday: Pink Lace
Saturday, June 7, 2014
6/07/2014 05:02:00 PM
How is everyone's weekend been so far? I flew home to Kansas Thursday evening, to spend time with family and friends. This morning some of them threw me a Bridal Shower and I got to see so many people that I love and have missed terribly since I moved to NYC. It was awesome. Since my Bridal Shower was this weekend, I really wanted to do a bride type look for the weekend.
I started off with a base of Lime Crime's Parfait Day. This pink is best described as a pastel neon. Love this pink. It looks great with just 2 coats.
What do you think? These were just the perfect touch of bridal for a fun and festive weekend. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend! Don't forget to link up your stamped mani below.

I then topped it with Cirque Your Hand in Mine, which sadly doesn't show up in my pictures. Your Hand in Mine can be built up to be opaque on its own, but it also makes a great topper. It's a soft white filled with a rainbow shimmer. I then stamped on a lace pattern in Konad White from the MoYou London Bridal Collection 06 plate.

KBShimmer Run! It's the Coppers!
Friday, June 6, 2014
6/06/2014 10:14:00 PM
GUYS! I just died! This polish is so pretty it makes me want to call it quits and just always wear this. As my first experience with the indie brand, KBShimmer, Run! It's the Coppers! was the best possible choice. I blame Cynthia and Frosso for making me want this but I'm totally ok with that. Enough chat lets just oogle the polish.
What do you think? Those rainbows in that copper polish make it just the best combo ever. LOOOOOVE IT!
Don't forget to pop by tomorrow and link up your stamped mani for #StampingSaturday.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Simple Green and Gold Nails
Tuesday, June 3, 2014
6/03/2014 06:32:00 PM
How has everyone's week been so far? I know it's Tuesday, but I'm exhausted already. The good news is that it'll be a short week for me, since I'm flying home to Kansas for a long weekend. It's going to be a fun weekend with family and friends, I'm really looking forward to it.
So I did this mani before the terrible thumb break of May 2014, so don't be weirded out, thinking that my nails grow insanely fast. ;-) This look is super simple. I used OPI Gargantuan Green Grape on my thumb, pointer, and middle fingers. On my ring and pinky finger I used Sephora by OPI It Looks Like Rein, Deer! which is a gold microglitter with added gold holographic hexes.
So there it is. Do you have anything you are looking forward to thats coming up quick?
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee
