#31DC2016: Black & White

I thought the pineapple nails were fun, but I think I just topped it. I'm totally in love with my new crossword puzzle nails for #31DC2016 Black & White. I love crosswords in general. So when thinking about black and white I wanted to do that. I could have gone with bigger squares, but I love the pattern you can get with the smaller blocks.
I used Colors By Llarowe Chasing a Unicorn & Unicorn Color Correcting Base for the white, because I thought it would add some extra dimension. But it doesn't really do that much. The black is my go to Painted Polish Midnight Mischief. The squares are from MoYou London Pro Collection XL 01. I then filled in the boxes to create the pattern. I even started to solve the puzzle, but gave up. ;-)

Today, I have a new look for you. It's not my best work and that's due to a new stamper. I'm sure you all have seen the craze over the new clear stampers. When they first came out I jumped on the band wagon and ordered the original one that came out. Well the rumors are true, it crumbles easily, distorts images, and it just isn't a great option.
For my base on this look I used the base of Colors by Llarowe Chasing a Unicorn and the color correcting base that it comes with. I couldn't get a good shot of the base on it's own, so I'll attempt it again at a later date. The stamping was done with Mundo de Unas Navy Blue and the image is from MoYou London Holy Shapes 04. You'll notice that the image is distorted, the lines aren't crisp, and over all it just isn't a good look.
I'm not going to give up on these clear stampers though. The idea is perfect, just need the right one, so I've got a new one on the way after doing some research. Have you tried the clear stamper? What do you think?

My final scheduled post for It Girl Fashion. By the time y'all read this, I'll probably be on dry land again, trying to ditch my sea legs. Keeping my fingers crossed for a decent tan to take back to NYC. ;-)
For my #StampingSaturday look, I started with a base of Colors by Llarowe Blonde Ambition, a light nude polish filled with strong linear holo rainbows. My favorite kind of polish. This was two easy coats for full coverage.
Once my base was dry, I went in with Mundo de Unas Fantasy and two different sized hounds tooth stamps from IG-104. I love that they are the same shape but different sizes, it helps take this look to the next level in my opinion.
And there you have it. Did you do anything fun for the New Years? I'll have to fill you in on mine after I get back. ;-)

Happy Independence Day everyone!!!! Well, those of you in the States! I love the Fourth! I'm a huge fan of fireworks and cooking out and hanging out with friends so this day is right up my alley! We've got a chill day with friends planned, then we'll head down to watch the pyrotechnic show over the river. Can't wait!
Obviously I did a patriotic look for the holiday. On my thumb I used Colors by Llarowe Living the Dream (blue) and some stencils to make the stars with Colors by Llarowe I Am Free. The red is Colors by Llarowe Little Miss Independent stamped with Sinful Colors Snow Me White and Winstonia 107. On my middle and ring finger I've got Lacquer Lust Star Spangled Unicorn, which looks like fireworks to me.
My thumb is my favorite and I hate that you can't see it in most of the photos. Total bummer! I basically used almost every Patriotic themed polish I owned. Only the two I already showed you didn't make an appearance here. Do you have big plans for the fourth or will it be low-key?
