Stained Glass Mani with Bellaluna Cosmetics

It's a double post day! I just couldn't wait to show you these awesome stained glass nails that I created with all five of the fall polishes from Bellaluna Cosmetics. I think it was obvious that I loved these polishes in just swatches, so it is always fun to see how a whole collection looks together. You can see the swatches here, but the colors are Near Dark (dark grey), Spanish Moss (olive green), Frosted Eggplant (purple), Autumn Woodlands (pumpkin spice), and Sparkling Cranberry (red).

I used my new Uber Chic Mat to create decals for each nail and it really let me be precise with my lines and filling in each space vs. trying to do it freehand. As a notorious desk ruiner I need an oversized mat to cover the whole desk top! I'm so in love with the way these came out. Be sure to check out the shop and social links below!

Bellaluna Cosmetics Fall Collection

It's the start of September and that means summer has officially left us. Even if the weather doesn't agree, it's Fall y'all! So I'm excited to be bringing you Bellaluna Cosmetics Fall Collection. Samantha really knocked it out of the park with these polishes. I thought I loved the Bohemian Collection, but these have stolen my heart.

Up first is Near Dark, this beauty is a stunning deep grey with silver flakes sprinkled in. I can already tell that this polish is going to get some serious play in my fall line up. Application was two easy coats that were smooth to apply.

Next is Sparkling Cranberry a beautiful cranberry magenta almost metallic polish that has the prettiest dash of holo mixed in. This one glows when you wear it, Application was two easy coats, no issues.

Autumn Woodlands is a beautiful pumpkin spice color with glass flecks. You know the joke about basic white girls who love everything pumpkin spice? I really don't fall into that because most of the time I'm meh about pumpkins....but this polish had me at hello! It is a little sheer, so I used three thin coats for full coverage, but there was no application issues at all.

Are you all ready for my favorite polish in this collection? Spanish Moss is the perfect olive green filled with golden shimmer. I feel like whenever Samantha adds golden shimmer to something, it automatically becomes my favorite. I want a pair of pants in this color, just saying. This was two perfect coats.

Finally we have Frosted Eggplant. This one is so shimmery and glitter filled that it freaked my camera freaked out a little bit. This violet purple glitter bomb also has dashes of blue, pink, and green peeking through. Again, application was two easy coats.

There you have it!  Which ones are you favorites? I'm all about Spanish Moss, Near Dark, and Sparkling Cranberry!

Now onto the good news. This collection will be available beginning Monday, September 7th. Each polish will retail for $9.50, which in the world of indies is a hell of a deal. However, I'd recommend you go check out the shop now, because all the previous collections are on sale for Labor Day!

Bellaluna Cosmetics: Prosperity

OH MY GOSH YOU GUYS! A whole week disappeared on me. I was so busy finishing up Jury Duty and then playing catch up at work, that it literally flew by. I didn't even get a chance to wave at it as it brushed by me. Things have settled down finally (thank goodness) and I have fun pretty things to show you.

Today, I have another installment of Bellaluna Cosmetics birthstone collection for you. These polishes are monthly releases that reflect the birthstone of that month. Prosperity is based off of August's birthstone the Peridot. The Egyptian's used to call Peridot's the gem of the sun, I just love that. Prosperity is a bright lime green polish filled with beautiful iridescent flecks of shimmer.

For a little fun, I went in with Bellaluna Cosmetics Luck of the Irish and Twinkled T Triangle Swirl Vinyls for this fun look. On my middle finger I started with Luck of the Irish as a base and sponged Prosperity on top. I flip flopped it on my ring finger. These two polishes are from completely different collections, but it's like they were made for each other. I adore these greens together.

I cannot wait to see what Samantha comes up with for September as I have a particular love for sapphires. My engagement ring is a yellow sapphire and my mom's, aunt's, and grandmother's rings are all sapphires as well.

#StampingSaturday: Gypsy Party

#StampingSaturday is here again and I've got a new look for you! Don't forget to go join our Facebook Group so you can share your looks and get all the info for each week!

For this week's look I started off with a base of Bellaluna Cosmetics Gypsy*. I've shown you this beauty before, so I won't get into it again.  I then blocked off half moons near my cuticle and stamped on some butterflies with Mundo de Unas Turquoise from Uber Chic 1-02. Once that was dry I outlined the half moons with Different Dimensions Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler 2.0 which is a pretty Mardi Gras inspired glitter.

There you have it! Don't forget to link up your #StampingSaturday looks below. If you don't have a link show some love to the others.

Bellaluna Cosmetics Birthstones: June & July

Happy Wednesday y'all! We're half way through the week. The long weekend is in sight! Anyone have fun Fourth plans? I still have no idea what I'm doing, I feel like July snuck up on me!

Today, I'm bringing you two more delicious Bellaluna Cosmetics polishes. These two are from Samantha's birthstone collection. We're going to start with July, since this baby just released today. This is Sunrise Ruby. It's a deep red jelly polish filled with reddish pink flakes, and I can totally see the ruby inspiration in this. More than anything it reminds me of a shiny red delicious apple. It's so pretty. I used three coats for full coverage and had no application issues.

Up next we have June's polish, Metamorphosis. As a June baby, I really appreciate that Samantha didn't go with a pearly polish and instead went with the other birthstone of AlexandriteThis duochrome stunner flashes between a pretty blue, pink, and light green. I chose to use Metamorphsis as a topper to a similar colored base, in this case Zoya Madeline. It could be built up to opacity though.

What do you think of these? I can't wait to see the polish for August! You can find links to Bellaluna Cosmetic's shop and more below.

Bohemian Tribal with Bellaluna Cosmetics

Moving chaos is still in full swing y'all! I legit packed up my clothes last night and forgot to leave out clothes to wear. Super smooth right? There are boxes everywhere and it's getting hard to navigate in our apartment. I didn't know we had that much crap. I thought I got rid of most of it when we moved from Kansas. Anywho...

I did this bohemian tribal-ish look with three colors from Bellaluna Cosmetics Bohemian Collection. My base is a stunning purple glitter bomb, Wild Child. The pink is Gypsy and the blue is Wanderlust. They both have beautiful shimmers in them, which don't quite translate for this look.

Can I just say that I'm really impressed with how crisp some of my lines are since I freehanded this. Most are wonky, but I'm getting better! :-)  Do you ever let a collection inspire you?

Enjoy & until next time,  Amy Lee

Sunday is here again. That means Monday is tomorrow. Boo Hiss! Monday's are the worst. I think we should start a petition to make weekends four days long and work weeks three days long. Who's with me?! Anywho...today I have a new collection from Bellaluna Cosmetics to show you. These five polishes make up Samantha's new Bohemian Collection. I totally love the way they all work together. Be aware, this will be a picture heavy post, because I couldn't pick just one shot to show you each polish.

Up first is Sunset in Paradise. You've seen a sneak peek of this one. Sunset in Paradise is a beautiful bright orange jelly polish filled with orange sparkles. There's a flash of silver holo just for a little added something! I used three thin coats here and as you can see, I have no visible nail line.

Next up is Wild Child. I'm in love with this glitter bomb y'all! This is mostly different sized light purple glitters but it also has pink, blue, silver, gold, and copper glitters thrown in. The copper glitters are a real stand out, I love them! This was two thin, easy coats for full coverage.

Wanderlust is so beautiful and creamy. It's a lovely aquamarine blue polish filled with blue and holographic shimmer. It's a real stand out. Two thin coats for full coverage.

Next is Metanoia. This glitter topper is filled with shredded glitters in teal and magenta flakies in a holographic base. I've worn two coats over Wanderlust. I did have to use the dab and spread method with this one, but that's pretty typical with glitter polishes.

Finally, we have Gypsy. Oh Gypsy, how I love you and your golden shimmer. This muted magenta polish is filled with the most beautiful golden shimmer. It's stunning. I used two thicker coats here for full coverage.

Can you pick a favorite? Mine are definitely Wild Child, Sunset in Paradise, and Gypsy. You can find Bellaluna Cosmetics on Etsy, where her polishes retail for $8.50 each. You can also see her on Instagram and Facebook!
