#TheLacquerRing: Red Glitter
Thursday, December 3, 2015

#TheLacquerRing is starting early this month because of the holidays. There is so much to do and only so much time, so we're diving right in. This month our color prompt was red glitter. I sort of cheated on this one...but we're going to pretend I didn't....ok? ok!
Since Dollish Polish Kevin!!! was sitting on my desk, I couldn't focus on any other red glitter. But technically the glitters in this red jelly base are silver metal flakies. For the sake of today's theme, I'm going to call them silver metal flake glitters. PLUS...this is a Home Alone themed polish, so I should get a pass based on those credentials alone.
So there you have it my "red glitter" look for today. Be sure to pop down to the link up and see the other red glitter looks the ladies have done.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Dollish Polish
A Unicorn Farted in My Polish

A while ago my sweet friend Amanda purchased all the girls a beautiful polish, Dollish Polish A Unicorn Farted in my Polish. We decided to all use them together, but I'm a loser and am a day late. Sorry ladies!
I decided to take this in a literal since because that polish name is amazeballs. In my head it looked so much cooler. I started with a base of Cirque Colors Jane on Jane Street which is stunning. It deserves it's own post and I promise I'll show it to you in all it's glory soon. I then stamped a unicorn on from Nail Craze NC-02 in Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. I then swiped on some AUFIMP near the unicorns bum and slowly spread it out over the rest of my fingers.
A Unicorn Farted in My Polish is stunning. I'll leave Dolly's description here for you so you can really understand how great it is: "Little known fact: Unicorns fart rainbows. It's true! And as he was flying over the Dollish Polish shop, he "deposited" a little gift inside each an every bottle! This glitterbomb consists of every color in the rainbow! Glitters ranging from small to large, in stars, moons, squares, dots, hexagons, rectangles and more! This really is one magical polish!"
Check out more looks from Amanda and Fross.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee
#StampingSaturday: Snowy Woods

Alright Ladies (and Gents) we're back for another round of #StampingSaturdays. I love these weekly link-ups. I feel like they really push me when it comes to making designs every week. This weeks look may be one of my favorites. First lets take a look at the base polish though, because damn, it's pretty on its own.
This is Dollish Polish "You Know Nothing Jon Snow" from her Ultimate Fandom Collection. I was lucky enough to meet Dolly in person a few months ago, and I asked her to pick out six "must have" polishes for me. This was one and boy is she right. YKNJS has a winter white base filled with black microglitters, silver/white microflakes, and blue/green glitters. Over all it gives the feeling of a snowy cold night.
Two things inspired me this week when chosing a design. 1. Its been bitterly cold in NYC and the rest of the state has been getting hammered with snow storms. 2. The pretty I already had on my fingers. I used Zoya Willa* to stamp on the bare tree forms from BM-407. I then used China Glaze The Outer Edge to add some piled up snow around the bottom of the tree trunks.
What do you think? Part of me wishes I'd used a matte topcoat on this look, but I didn't think of it in time. I really love the overall snowy effect this look gives off. Don't forget to add your stamped look down below!
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee
