Squeezing in more Summer with NEONS

Guys, I'm not ready for tomorrow to be September. I'm not ready for Summer to leave. I'm NOT ready for it to be fall. Ugh! Because I'm not ready, I'm going to just keep throwing on neons and hoping that people will understand my need for summer to stay longer. I think I pulled out all the neons I could find for this look.

The list includes China Glaze Point Me To The Party (glitter), China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy (pink/coral), China Glaze Plurple,  China Glaze I'm With The Lifeguard (green), China Glaze Celtic Sun (yellow), China Glaze Sun Worshiper (orange), and China Glaze DJ Blue My Mind. The white is OPI Alpine Snow and I used What's Up Nails X Shields for the patterns.

So what do you think, is it eye-searingly bright enough? Tomorrow marks the first day of September. Is anyone partaking in the 31 Day challenge? I'm going to be attempting it for the second time!

Enjoy & until tomorrow, Amy Lee

#TheLacquerRing: Tribal

For this month's art prompt. #TheLacquerRing did Tribal nails. I'm not sure what I was going for here, but it's tribal-ish so I'm going with it. There's some slight negative space situation happening with the gold, white, and black polishes.  Colors used are Painted Polish Midnight Mischief (black), OPI Love Angel Music Baby (gold), and OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls (white).

It's been a long time since I've done any free hand nail art, so this was a decent attempt. I need to get better at doing that some more. Anyways, check out all the other lovely ladies and their tribal nail art below.

Polish M Back to Reality Collection

I know everyone is ready for summer to go and fall to come. People are stoked about Pumpkin everything (I'm not a fan, I just don't get it), turning leaves, and scarves/sweaters. Ya'll are there and I'm just over here like "MORE SUMMER PLEASE!!!" Hence why I'm obsessing over this stunning collection from Polish M. This collection is Back to Reality and is all about how you feel coming back from a collection.

Prepare for a ton of pictures and I'll tell you about the formula at the end!!

Polish M Back to Reality, a bubblegum pink leaning magenta with blue and silver micro flakes.

Polish M Hello, Monday a unique and fun chartreuse with bronze, gold and teal micro flakes.

Polish M Inbox is Full a true concord grape with silver, lavender and purple micro flakes.

Polish M The Last Mile Home a bright summery orange with silver, orange, gold and a hint of aqua micro flakes.

Polish M Hit Snooze, Repeat a rich teal green with silver, blue and green micro flakes.

Polish M PVB {Post Vacation Blues} a beautiful cobalt blue with bronze, blue and purple micro flakes.

Ya'll these are stunning. The formula is great. I only need 3 coats for the green, everything else was an easy two. I adore the flakes in all of them. BEST PART: Michelle is running an end of summer deal on this collection. You can use code BTR25 for 25% off of the entire collecition or individuals.

Which ones are your faves? I'm in love with PVB and Hit Snooze, Repeat (you know I love blues and teals)!

Until next time, Amy Lee

Monthly Holo Polish from 77 Nail Lacquer

Do you ever get that one holo polish that makes you remember why you love holo polishes in the first place? 77 Nail Lacquer did that for me recently with the latest installment in their monthly holo polish series. 0816 is a stunning raspberry holo polish that is positively filled with rainbows. I just couldn't get enough of it. My swatch is two easy coats with no application issues.

I mean seriously, can you get over the rainbows in this polish. STUNNING! 0816 is a preorder polish as 77 Nail Lacquer only does one batch. If you love, get it sooner rather than later as the preorder stops next week. You can see the shop link down below.

Until next time, Amy Lee

Neon Flowers for the Summer

I'm trying to squeeze all the neon shades and summer fun while I can. Summer is quickly one its way out and this makes me beyond sad. So naturally I tried to use all the neon shades in one mani.

I started off with a base of Cirque Colors Plastik a stunning fuchsia creme polish. To say I'm in love would be an understatement.

I then added on a coat of Cirque Colors We Trippy a sheer holographic topper. This pairing is absolutely fantastic!

Finally I used a flower design from MoYouLondon Suki Collection 04 and stamped in Sinful Colors Snow Me White. I did reverse stamping and filled in the flowers with Cirque Colors Sin City, Rehab, Electric Daisy, and High Roller. I adored the way this all came together.

What is your favorite neon polish this summer?

#TheLacquerRing: Tardis Blue

So today #TheLacquerRing is doing Tardis Blue nails. Confession: my knowledge of Dr. Who related things are only things that have linked into popular culture. I've always wanted to watch but I'm very intimidated by the 74 seasons that are out there. It seems like such a commitment.

So Tardis Blue....after seeing everyone else's looks I realize my blue should have been more vibrant, but too late now. I chose Picture Polish Forget Me Not because I loved the little holo flakies in the cornflower base.

Then I stamped on some Dr. Who related things from MyOnlineShop JR-31 using Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. I only have this plate because 2/3 of it is Harry Potter related. But I do know that these 5 designs are Dr. Who related.

There you have it! I even have a Tardis for the Tardis prompt. HAH! Be sure to check out all the other lovely ladies and their designs below.

#StampingSaturday: Making Waves

WHOA! It has been way to long since I've participated in a #StampingSaturday. I really need to get my shiz together ya'll!!

Today, I'm rocking another It Girl Nail Art  combo. My base for this look is OPI Gelato on My Mind, stamped with It Girl Nail Art Sapphire and IG-111.  I love this look. The wave design is super crisp and absolute perfection in these colors.

Don't forget the great news!! Nicole is running a special from now until Aug. 7. This release happens to coincide with her 1 year anniversary (CONGRATS!), hence the deal. As mentioned the deal ends August 7, but from now until then you can choose any 3 plates for $33. I've got more looks to come using these plates and polishes.

Also be sure to check out all the other stamped looks this Saturday!

I want to ride my Bicycle...I want to ride my bike!

When I was putting this nail art look together, Bicycle Race by Queen was on repeat. You'll get it when you get to the stamped portion, but for now. Buckle on your helmet, as we check out the base of this look.

My base for today's look is Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure All Fired Up. This is a classic orange leaning red, that I absolutely adore. I don't know why, but every time I put on a red it makes me want to wear them more. It's such a classy look.

Here's the bicycle part. Are you ready? I used the adorable bike pattern from It Girl Nail Art IG-111 and stamped it on with Mundo de Unas Aqua. What is is about this color combo? It's always so good together.

New Stamping Plates & Polish from It Girl Nail Art

So ever since Nicole broke onto the stamping scene, I've made it very clear how obsessed with her plates I am. I usually end up buying the ones I don't have and I find myself defaulting to them more and more.  Well for this latest release she's upped her game ya'll! Not only are there 4 new plates (that mandala designed plate is calling me) there are also 4 new stamping polish and cuticle oils as well. Her stamping polishes are 5-free and come in a range of jewel-tone metallics with a fabulous bit of sparkle.

For today's look I'm using the new It Girl Nail Art IG-111 and the new It Girl Nail Art Sapphire stamping polish. My base is China Glaze Intelligence, Integrity, & Courage.  Let me tell you all, Sapphire picks up and stamps like a dream. It's a metallic foil polish that is absolutely stunning. I'm in love with the bright blue raindrops over the grey blue background.

Now for the even better news!! Stay tuned!!
