Christmas Mani with It Girl Fashion Plates

Today I have the second of the three scheduled posts for you featuring the new It Girl Fashion Plate IG-104. As I mentioned on Monday, I'm cruising and should be on my way towards Jamaica at this point. Here's to warm weather!

I know I'm a few days late, but this was the mani I wore for Christmas festivities. I started with a base of Stardust Polish A Gnoment Like This which is a pigmented red glitter jelly. I love the sparkle it has.

I then went in with Mundo de Unas High Green and stamped on the plaid design from IG-104. I totally love the colors together, especially paired with the plaid stamp. Also...can we talk about how crisp those lines transferred over? I was super impressed.

So there you have it. My holiday look. I hope you enjoyed your holidays with family and friends! Don't forget about the post Christmas sale Nicole is having on the first 3 plates!

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

It Girl Fashion Plates - Part Duex

Do you all remember back in August when I was geeking out about a new stamping plate creator on the block? Well Nicole from It Girl Fashion Plates is back again with her second round of plates. She sent over IG-104 for me to play with and I can't get enough of these images. Since I'm technically cruising this week (Yay for Vacation over New Years), I've scheduled a series of posts featuring this plate for ya'll.

First let's start with the plate in all it's awesomeness. I've picked up each stamp on a creative shop stamper with Konad Black. These images are all super crisp and pick up really nicely. Be sure to scroll all the way to the end, because there is a pre-order deal you need to know about. Let's look at the images.

There you have it! Do you have a favorite image? Mine are the plaid and the hounds tooth ones. Adore them!

As I mentioned, there is a sweet pre-order deal you need to know about. It's an after Christmas sale. You can buy the first three plates as a bundle for $35 or each individual plate retails for $13.50. I'll be buying IG-105 and IG-106 as soon as I get home.

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#StampingSaturday: Subtle Patterns

I know...I know...it's a miracle that I'm participating this weekend. I blame the holidays. Life has been so crazy busy that I feel like I haven't had time to breathe lately. Let alone find the time to actually write posts. I'm usually up way too late to write the ones I've done so today I'm stealing a few moments to get stuff done!!

Today I started with a base of Polish M Autumn's Palette which is seriously the most amazing polish ever. It's a mix of copper, gold, and fuschia flakies as well as gold glitter and some copper holo glitter. If you don't have this one...I think you should track it down and get ASAP!

I then in with Mundo de Unas Chocolate and Uber Chic 2-02 to add in some patterns. The base polish kind of overwhelmed my stamping polish so this look is alot more subtle that I had originally intended.

Be sure to check out all the other stamped looks below. Don't forget...you can join us at ANY TIME!

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#TheLacquerRing: Snowflakes

I'm going to keep this one short and sweet mainly because it's late and I feel the rush to get these bad boys posted. #TheLacquerRing is back with the final post of 2015 and the prompt is snowflakes.

For my look I started with a base of Orly MirrorBall. Can we talk about how stunning this is? I missed the initial craze for this and just picked it up recently. That was obviously the wrong choice, but I'm happy to have it now. Don't mind the super shiny skin...I got a little aggressive with the cuticle oil and didn't realize it until I was editing the photos.

I added in snowflakes using the Uber Chic Christmas-01 plate and a combo of Mundo de Unas stamping polishes. The dark blue is Iris, the minty blue is Turquoise, and the lightest blue is Aqua. I painted on thin stripes then scraped at an angle to mix the colors.

Be sure to check out the other snowflake mani's from the talented ladies below. I'm really enjoying the way mine came out, what do you think?

Icon Duos: Tangerine and Cobalt Blue

Today, I want to show you the final Cirque Colors Icon Duo pairing. These were created exclusively for the Nordstrom x OC pop in. Each pairing consists of a holographic and creme polish. See swatches of all six colors here and nail art for the dusty pink & olive green combo as well as the icy blue & mahogany duo.

Today we're looking at the Tangerine & Cobalt Blue duo. For this look I used Cirque Colors Tangerine Dream as my base. Then I freehanded (not very well) some stripes and a rectangle in Cirque Colors Selvedge for a fun abstract look.

I absolutely adore the way these polishes pair. It's a great color combo. You can see the info below for where to purchase and pricing.

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

A Hatchlings First Christmas

Today I have a fun holiday collection to show you from the indie brand, Turtle Tootsie Polish. This nine piece holiday collection has a little something for everyone. I'm really enjoying my first experience with this brand! Let's dive right in as I have lots of polishes and pictures to show you.

Up first is Turtle Tootsie Polish Santa? I Know Him! a bright cherry red linear holo. This beauty is absolute perfection in three thin coats.

Next we have Turtle Tootsie Polish Son of a Nutcracker. This a silver foil metallic nail polish, that was fully opaque in three thin coats. I'm usually not a huge fan of these polishes, but this one is wonderful!

Turtle Tootsie Polish Green Bracelets is a glitter polish filled with deep green/teal glitters. It can be worn over a base as a topper or on it's own in several coats. For my swatch I used three coats, with no placement for full coverage. I adore the depth it has all on it's own.

Next we have Turtle Tootsie Polish Gold Bracelets. This is the exact same formula as the polish above but with gold instead of green glitters. Again, three coats for full coverage.

Turtle Tootsie Polish Christmasgasm is so fun. A. Let's talk about that name...LOVE! B. This finish is so fun. It's a light maroon holographic polish with extra gold holographic glitter. I used three thin coats for full coverage.

Turtle Tootsie Sugar Cookie is a gold metallic base filled with gold holographic glitters. This is such a unique finish. I really love the way it looks. I used three thin coats for full coverage.

Turtle Tootsie Polish Holo-Day Pine is a muted sea foam green linear holographic polish. I adore this color. It's so soft and pretty. I used two thin coats for full coverage.

Up next is Turtle Tootsie Polish Ho Ho Holo. This polish is a much deeper red than Santa? I Know Him! , it is also a scattered holographic vs. a linear. I used two thin coats for full coverage.

Finally we have Turtle Tootsie Polish Tree Trimming. This is a light green metallic base filled with  holographic gold glitters. A beautiful polish in a unique finish, you have to love this one. I used two thin coats for full coverage.

Now that we've been through all the polishes, what are your favorites? It's a hard choice, but I'm going with Santa? I Know Him!, Holo-day Pine, and Green Bracelets.

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee
