Stamping Saturday: Silver Flowers
Saturday, March 29, 2014
3/29/2014 04:02:00 PM
I cannot believe this is our twelfth Stamping Saturday. We've been at this for 3 months so far, and I look forward to every Saturday because of this.
This week I went for a simple all over look, mainly because I was pressed for time. It's simple but I really enjoy the overall effect. I started off with a base of Butter London's Artful Dodger, a dusty teal creme that is opaque in 3 coats.
I then stamped over Artful Dodger with Sally Hansen InstaDri in Silver Sweep, my go to silver stamping polish, with the NC-001 Plate.
It's just a field of silver flowers over teal but I really like the end result. Simple, yet pretty. It almost reminds me of some old school wallpaper that has been updated to fun colors for modern times.

Butter London Saucy Jack & Cirque Potosi
Thursday, March 27, 2014
3/27/2014 12:37:00 PM
I've had this post in my draft folders forever because I totally forgot about it. I'm a terrible blogger. I wanted to show you all this look, so I decided to post it today instead of my original post.
I've started off with a base of Butter London Saucy Jack, which in real life reads more of a maroon color than the red you can see in the photos. I had such a hard time capturing the color.
I then dabbed Cirque Potosi on near my cuticles. Potosi is a shreaded silver glitter topper. Sadly, I didn't love how Potosi laid on the nail, I had pieces sticking up and it really bothered me. So much so, that this mani didn't last a full 24 hours.
Are you a fan of shredded glitter? I don't think I am.

Textured Tuesday: A Twist on 1/2 Moons
Tuesday, March 25, 2014
3/25/2014 11:21:00 AM
Hey All! So you might have seen already, but I'm pulling the plug on Textured Tuesdays. It never really took off like I had hoped. It was supposed to be this awesome linkup where anyone who wanted could join in, but really only my good friends joined in. The good news is that while Textured Tuesday is leaving us for now, we are working on something super fun and exciting. Stay tuned!
For the last Textured Tuesday, I decided to do a twist on the half moon look. I started out with a base of OPI Don't Bossa Nova Me Around. This is the one nude polish I purchased from the OPI Brazil collection. Love love love it!
Next I used some half moon guides and a stencil from Sticky Nails and added some interesting details using OPI Pussy Galore.
What do you think of this look for the last Textured Tuesday look? If you want to join in, be sure to link up below!

Stamping Saturday: Gradient Stamping
Saturday, March 22, 2014
3/22/2014 07:20:00 PM
So we're back for another Stamping Saturday. I really love that Cynthia came up with this idea. Stamping was my first love and what originally got me into nail art, leading to this blog and meeting a lot of wonderful people. Plus it's really pushed me to try new things and I feel like my stamping skills get better each week.
This week I wanted to try a new technique that I've seen around, but I've never been brave enough to try it. It's gradient stamping. While I didn't get as much mix in the stamp as I'd hoped for, I'm declaring it a success. I was inspired by this post from Reinovate.
I used 3 polishes for this look. The two holos are from I Love Nailpolish, Molly (pink) and Grape Alisciousness (purple). As you can tell I stamped them over white, which is Sally Hansen's Complete Salon Manicure Ivory Skull. This is my favorite white ever and I hate that it was a LE. My image came from Winstonia's plate W-110.

Top o' the Morning to ye

That is officially the worst post name ever!! But I was trying to be clever, so it is what it is. I'm going to keep this post short, but I wanted to show you all the nails I'm wearing for St. Patrick's day. I wanted to make sure I don't get pinched. ;-)
This is 3 thin coats of China Glaze The Grass is Lime Greener from the new City Flourish Spring Collection. It's quite the finicky formula, but I love the end result color. My accent nails are 3 coats of Floss Gloss Stun. It's a beautiful gold glitter that has holographic flashes. It literally flashes that same lime green color so these polishes are perfect together.
How are you celebrating this holiday?
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Stamping Saturday: Butterflies in the Garden
Saturday, March 15, 2014
3/15/2014 02:11:00 PM
I think after this week I have a tie for my new favorite stamped look. My current favorite has been this look mainly because I think it turned out AMAZEBALLS. This weeks look ties with it purely because the polish I stamped over is AH-MAY-ZING! (I may be out of control here people, somebody stop me!)
The base for today's Stamping Saturday is the much coveted Emily de Molly Monet's Garden. Look at this squishy jelly sandwich in a bottle.
What do you think of my butterfly wings? Don't forget to check out all the other ladies who stamped, links are below.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

This was two coats and it was fully opaque. Each brushstroke was filled with squeals of glee because of the pretty. I'm 98% certain the future hubby had thought I'd finally lost my mind. I mean, look how freaking pretty it is.
Next I stamped on some butterfly wings using Nail Craze NC-02 and Konad Black polish. I love how well it stamps, but Konad Black is a bitch to clean up. Ugh.
Finally I used a dotting tool and Seche Snapdragon to add the dots on the wings. I wanted to have dots in a complimentary color, and you see those little flashes of pink in the base polish, so pink dots it is.

Textured Tuesday: Textured Leopard Print
Tuesday, March 11, 2014
3/11/2014 09:00:00 AM
Hello all! Welcome to round two of Textured Tuesdays. If you don't remember from last week, this is a link up party that is welcome to all to show off textured manis. It's really a way for me to push myself to create more looks with my textured polishes and if you want to play, you are more than welcome to join in.
For today's look I started with a base of Zoya Tomoko. This color is gorgeous! As usual, with Zoya Pixie Dusts, I applied two thin coats and it dried quickly.

Then using OPI Make Him Mine and OPI What Wizardry is this? I created leopard spots on the sides of my nails. I really enjoyed how this look came together, especially because all the polishes really compliment one another.
Don't forget to link up your post below! I can't wait to see what everyone else came up with!

Am I in Purgatory?
Monday, March 10, 2014
3/10/2014 09:36:00 PM
Or am I wearing Purgatory? I Love Nailpolish Purgatory to be exact. ;-) Purgatory is part of the ILNP Rich Effect collection and it has a deep teal base filled with duochrome navy/teal sparkles. I recently saw this youtube tutorial by Mr.Candiipants where she teaches how to do the design on my accent nail. I decided that I wanted to practice my line work and give it a try. Pretty much it turned out horrible, but yeah, still thought I would show you. I used all ILNP polishes to fill in the colors they are: purple - Grape Aliciousness, pink - Molly, blue - Exodus. The stripes were done with my Orly Instant Artist striper in White.
What do you think of this color? I thought I would love it more than I actually did. It's probably because it stained the crap out of my skin.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Stamping Saturdays: Mixed Designs
Saturday, March 8, 2014
3/08/2014 05:06:00 PM
Hello All!! Welcome to Stamping Saturday #10. I cannot believe we have officially been doing this for 10 weeks now. I look forward to Saturday every week because I love seeing everyone's stamped links. It is so fun.
For my base color, I started off with OPI's Amaz-on Amaz-off. If y'all know me at all you know I LOVE teal colors and I just can't resist them. Let's take a look at it here.
I then stamped over it using several designs taken from the MoYou London Plate, Artist Collection 07.
I think my favorite design is on my pointer finger. It is so pretty. What do you think of this look? Be sure to check out the other ladies who are participating below.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Cirque Cypress and Tribal Nail Art
Friday, March 7, 2014
3/07/2014 06:52:00 PM
Hi all! I meant to post this yesterday, but I've been opening all week so I was completely wiped out when I got home. So instead I have it for you today.
Cypress was my gateway drug to the Cirque brand. It's this gorgeous nude holographic polish that is stunning in sunlight and indirect lighting. Here you can see two easy coats that applied like butter. Seriously, those rainbows!
After wearing it on its own for a few days, I decided I wanted to try some nail art over it. I became obsessed with pairing it with a cobalt blue, so I got out my Orly Nail Artist striper and played around. The beauty of these are they are water based so if you mess up, you can swipe it off with a wet paper towel and then start over.
It's not the best job I've ever done, but seeing as I was just playing around it was good enough.
What do you think?
Enjoy & until tomorrow, Amy Lee
