Have you ever had an idea, executed said idea, and then realized it was the messiest thing ever and now you have to spend hours cleaning it up. That's how I feel about this mani. I used liquid latex to protect my fingers and it was still a huge mess. I don't know where I went wrong.
So basically the jist of it is that I wanted to show my multichrome flakie polishes some love. I did and made a huge mess. This is a gradient made with ILNP Electric Carnival and Neon Rosebud. I applied dabs to a wet cosmetic sponge and then sponged them on for full opacity. It was a mess, but I quite like the end result.
There you have it. Short and sweet, but pretty and multi-chrome-y. <--- That's totally a word!
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

That turned out pretty cool. There probably isn't a way to get around the mess...those other flakie gradient spongers just don't tell you that :P
ReplyDeleteIt was worse than glitter. I didn't even know that was possible.
DeleteVery very cool effect! Flakie heaven :)
ReplyDeleteTHanks!
DeleteLove the end result. I love these flakies but god forbid you have to clean up. That's the price we pay for such gorgeousness.
ReplyDeleteYup. Clean up was the worst. Even with all the precautions I took.
DeleteI just love this!! I think it looks freakin gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Shawna!
DeleteIt turned out gorgeous! I may have to try this with my ILNP flakies!
ReplyDeleteBe prepared for a huge mess. ;-)
DeleteDang I love flakes so much! ILNP does such a great job with them, and was really a pioneer with the ultrachrome ones. Great shots!
ReplyDeleteI agree, they are so gorgeous and I just really wanted to use them.
DeleteWow. I'll have to remember not to try that.
ReplyDeleteThis is so gorgeous, you did a fab job on them. The gradient just looks so surreal and almost has a galaxy tone!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I can totally see the galaxy element now that you mention it.
