#StampingSaturday: Pretty Ugly Christmas Sweaters

Another week has come and gone already. Thank goodness for the weekends. I'm ready for relaxing. It's been a long hard week for me. Lots of work, lots of stress, lots of dealing with stupid crap. I'm going to set up the tree and decorate and get festive up in this bitch.

To prepare for being festive and Christmassy (totally a word), I of course had to do some pretty ugly Christmas Sweater nails. Or is it ugly pretty? I'll let you be the judge. To start out I did a tri-gradient with Cirque The Devil wears Cirque and Tavern on the Teal.

I don't do alot of gradients so I'm out of practice. I should do more, I always love the look of them. Next up, I stamped on holiday sweater designs from MoYou London's Festive 04 plate in Sinful Colors Snow Me White. I recently saw a tutorial on stamping where if you move fast enough you can stamp, then put foil on the nail and it will take the shape of your stamp. I tried so hard, but only got little pieces of the foil to stick. It gives it some extra gold sparkle in a few areas which I quite like. I'll have to try it again in the future.

So what is your vote, are they pretty ugly or ugly pretty? Don't forget to link up your stamped design below!!

Until next time, Amy Lee

  1. Cool looking gradient -- I love how it looks purple where the colors overlap! That is the perfect stamp for a Christmas sweater manicure.

    1. Thank you so much! The gradient wasn't perfect but you are right. It does look cool where it overlaps in the middle.

  2. That foil method sounds kind of difficult! I will have to try that because it sounds pretty cool. I love MoYou festive plates! I almost used that design this week too.

    1. It was really hard. I think next time, I'll stamp, then apply glue/foil like normal.
