Golden Triangles

First up: I know I missed the Untried Polish Challenge yesterday. I joined a boxing/kickboxing class last night, and by the time I got home, I couldn't lift my arms high enough to apply polish. I hope to make it up tomorrow, before my  next challenge date. Don't hate me!

Today I have a fun little geometric manicure to show you all. I started off with a base of Maybelline Color Show's Canary Cool. This is from the new Summer 2013 Limited Edition Collection.

People, this is the soft yellow polish I've been dreaming off. It's amazing. Not streaky, opaque in two coats, and the perfect color. If you can find this polish, I highly recommend taking it home with you.

To add a little spice to this manicure, I've done some fun little striping tape accent triangles. I'm really feeling geometric shapes lately, so this was a fun manicure to wear.

West End Wonderland is a wonderful gold glitter polish with a smattering of copper glitters thrown in. It is gorgeous, absolutely what you would expect from a Butter London polish.

What do you think of my triangles?

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

  1. Wow, I've been looking for good pastel yellow but have always been scared off by tales of terrible formulas. This sounds great, and I love the golden triangles.

  3. I love this design and the colour combo, I did not know they had a limited edition summer collection - I had only heard about the Polka Dots (I bought Chalk Dust). Better go do some research!!

  5. I JUST BOUGHT THAT! :D Canary Cool. It didn't look as yellow to me, I was looking for a more nude-ish white alternative. I LOVE your triangles, what a beautiful effect!! I used to do triangles a lot, haven't so much lately, but I should totally get back into them!

    1. I think it has something to do with the store lights, because that's what I was looking for. But when I got it home, I was all "HEY, this is a soft yellow!" I'm so glad it was.

    1. I tend to buy them off eBay. You can get a big pack of them, usually at cheaper prices. But occasionally I'll break down and buy one at the store. But only if its a sale or I have a coupon.
