Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat Swatches

Hold on to your knickers kids, because today, I have the most picture heavy post ever. Today, I'm going to show you swatches of six of the new Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat polishes. Apparently there are 2 others floating around out there in polish world, but the displays I've seen didn't have spots for them.
(EDIT: I found them, see them here!)

The six I have for you today are Peach Fuzz, Fuzz Sea, Tweedy, Wool Knot, Wool Lite, and Fuzzy Fantasy. Just a note, on my thumb, ring, and pinkie fingers I've applied one coat over polish undies, and on my pointer/middle finger you'll see three coats on their own. Ready? Lets do this.

Peach Fuzz is made up of yellow and peach colored matte bar glitters. I've layered it over China Glaze Mimosas Before Manis.

Fuzz Sea is made up of teal and yellow matte bar glitters. I've layered it over Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Ivory Skull.

Tweedy is made up of black and white matte bar glitters. I've layered it over China Glaze For Audrey.

Wool Knot is made up of light blue and white matte bar glitters. I've layered it over OPI Pamplona Purple.

Wool Lite is made up of all light pink matte bar glitters. I've layered it over Butter London Snog.

Fuzzy Fantasy is made up of lime green and white matte bar glitter. I've layered it over Essie Butler Please.

Application wise these go on fairly easy, you don't have to fish for the glitters and you get plenty of coverage in one coat. Personally I like these better as layering polishes. I love the effect the matte bar glitters give against the contrasting backgrounds.

Which look is your favorite? I can't decide between Peach Fuzz and Tweedy.

Enjoy & until tomorrow, Amy Lee

Untried Polish Challenge: Glitter

Day 15 y'all and this time I'm on time. Can I get a whoot? WHOOT!

Don't forget to go like my new Facebook Page, you can find it here

Today's theme for the Untried Polish Challenge is Glitter. I've had this particular glitter for quite some time and as usual, I'm kicking myself for not trying it sooner. I give you Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Mermaids Tale.

Mermaids Tale made my camera freak out. It was so hard to capture all the shiny goodness of this polish. This polish has a dark blue jelly base filled to the brim with small blue glitters and medium sized blue and green hex glitters. It's the perfect jelly sandwich in a bottle. You cannot go wrong with this polish people, I know its still available so I highly recommend bringing it home with you. I've also heard that this polish is a dupe for Deborah Lippmann's Across the Universe. While I can't deny or confirm this, its certainly a much cheaper and easily accesible option.

Also, I got some exciting bloggy news today and while I can't say anything yet, I'm 99.5% sure it's going to involve my first ever giveaway! EEEK!!

Untried Polish Challenge: In Season

And I officially suck at life, because while I had the pictures ready for this post and intended that it go up on time, I totally forgot about it. The 3 day weekend threw me off my game.

Anyways, today is day 13 of the Untried Polish Challenge and the theme is In Season. It's almost summer here so to me that means BRIGHT COLORS.

I started off with a base of Butter London's Diamond Geezer. This is a silver foil that is absolutely amazing. However, removing it sucks, but that is the nature of all polish like this.

After waiting for Diamond Geezer to dry, I painted on half moons in Essie's Shake Your $$ Maker. This is from their Neon Summer Collection, It's a super bright neon jelly, that freaked my camera out. I couldn't get the color to show anywhere near its actual brightness.

To spice things up, I lined the Half Moons with Blue Sequins or Gleequins as they are called. This was a really fun mani to wear, and I'm glad I branched out and tried half moons. I'll try these again in the future now that I know how easy they are.

What does "In Season" mean to you?

Memorial Day Nails

Hey Everyone, I hope you all are enjoying a nice long weekend. I've had three relaxing days which has been nice. Before we get to nails, there are 2 things I want to address. The first being the reason for this long weekend. I know everyone doesn't agree with everyone else, but I just want to say that I am thankful for those who serve our country for our freedoms. It is much appreciated and I salute them.

Second, I started a Facebook Page. WHAT?! I know right, so know you can follow me here, on Twitter, and Facebook. Man, I'm moving up in the world. Anyways, it'd be cool if you went and "liked" my page, you can find it here

Anyways, I chose to do a Memorial Day Mani to go along with the long weekend.

I started off with a base of Essie Butler Please on my Thumb and Pinkies, and used Essie Fifth Avenue on the other three fingers. I then used Winstonia plate W107 to stamp the stars on my thumb and the stripes on the middle fingers. The stars on my pinkie are from Bundle Monster Plate BM20.

Also, bonus picture. It's the hardly ever seen, RIGHT HAND! WHAT?!?!

Did you celebrate Memorial Day with a Patriotic Mani? I'd love to see it!

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Untried Polish Challenge: Prettiest

Day 12 of the Untried Polish Challenge and I am back on schedule! WOO!! Today's theme is Prettiest. Would someone like to explain how you are supposed to pick one of your pretties as the prettiest? That doesn't even make sense. It's like loving one child more than the others. It's just not fair I tell ya...

Anywho... on to the pretties. I've chosen China Glaze Seduce Me and China Glaze Pizzazz for this manicure.

Seduce Me is a luscious raspberry red crelly from China Glaze's Roses 'n Berries collection. I don't know why I hadn't used this yet, but I'm kicking myself now for waiting so long. It applies easily, is opaque in two coats, and makes me happy. For the accent nails I went with China Glaze's  Pizzazz. Pizzazz is a mix of light blue, green, orange, yellow, fuschia, and pink different sized glitters. It is so freaking pretty. Pizzazz went on easily and very thick, I honestly think I could do two layers of this polish and make it opaque.

As usual, go check out the other ladies participating in this challenge. You can find them below:

Untried Polish Challenge: Ugliest

It's day 11 of the Untried Polish Challenge. I know this one is late, but I'll be all caught up for tomorrow now. The boyfriend and I joined Title Boxing, a boxing/kickboxing focused gym, where you do mainly boxing/kickboxing classes on heavy bags. OH MY GAWD!!! Immediately after that, I went over to a friends house, who is ready to pop at any moment, to entertain her kiddos (aka my nieces, I'm Crazy Aunt Amy) for a bit. Have you ever played Kangaroo on the trampoline? It's harder than it sounds. Needless to say, I was exhausted by the time I got home, and couldn't even lift my arms, let alone a finger, to change my polish.

Anyways, enough story time. On to the polish. Today's challenge is Ugliest. I really struggled with this one. I don't have any polishes that I consider "ugly" so to say, but I do have this one sitting in my untried well, because I don't like it. So here it is.

This is Sinful Colors Dancing Nails, a rose polish with a frosted finish. This was given to me as a gift, and I've never been a huge fan of the frosted finishes on polishes. They just look dated to me. I have a feeling my Mother would love this color. It seems right up here alley. What do you think Mom? Want to add this one to your stash? (Yes, she reads my blog. And shows it off to everyone she can.)

Application and formula wise Dancing Nails was a dream. It goes on smoothly, is opaque mostly in one coat, and dries glossy.

As always, go check out the other lovely ladies participating in this challenge.

Golden Triangles

First up: I know I missed the Untried Polish Challenge yesterday. I joined a boxing/kickboxing class last night, and by the time I got home, I couldn't lift my arms high enough to apply polish. I hope to make it up tomorrow, before my  next challenge date. Don't hate me!

Today I have a fun little geometric manicure to show you all. I started off with a base of Maybelline Color Show's Canary Cool. This is from the new Summer 2013 Limited Edition Collection.

People, this is the soft yellow polish I've been dreaming off. It's amazing. Not streaky, opaque in two coats, and the perfect color. If you can find this polish, I highly recommend taking it home with you.

To add a little spice to this manicure, I've done some fun little striping tape accent triangles. I'm really feeling geometric shapes lately, so this was a fun manicure to wear.

West End Wonderland is a wonderful gold glitter polish with a smattering of copper glitters thrown in. It is gorgeous, absolutely what you would expect from a Butter London polish.

What do you think of my triangles?

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Clowning Around with Neons

I hate Mondays. I think everyone does. You have a blissful relaxing weekend and then bam, Alarm Clock, Job, blah, blah, blah.

Today I have a quick mani that I did after swatching the China Glaze Neons to show you.

I started off with China Glaze To Yacht to Handle (love that name, too cute!) and on my ring fingers I topped it with Lush Lacquer's Clowning Around. Clowning Around is a clear base with multiple sized hexes in neon pink, neon orange, neon yellow, neon green, neon blue, and neon purple.  It is simple amazing. I need to take the time to wear it over white, but it looks awesome paired with the teal.

Are you a Monday hater too?

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee
