The Syrup Mani.....Am I doing this right?

Recently I saw a tutorial on how to do Syrup Nails. Seems simple enough, I've got jelly polishes, I'm going to give this one a go. And I did. Aaannnd I'm not sure I did it right, or maybe I chose a bad polish for this look. Anywho, here are the nails.

For this look I used China Glaze Keepin' it Teal, from their summer Sunsational Collection. There isn't a whole lot to tell you about this mani. One color (odd for me) and one simple technique (also odd for me).

I did this look for a long weekend at the lake, and it lasted well for the most part.

Have you tried syrup nails? What did you think of them?

Enjoy & until tomorrow, Amy Lee

  1. Definitely think you got the idea right! How many layers did you do? When you have short nails, I think three might work with that polish!

    1. I think I tried 4 layers. Maybe I need to do less. Hmm...

  2. I haven't seen this technique before, but I think it looks great :)

  4. I've heard of jelly syrup polishes (Nfu Oh) but not of a jelly syrup technique. Is it like a jelly gradient? I'm going to have to look into this :)

  5. These look cute, but I find them kind of hard to do too. I have done some but I think I use too thick of coats or maybe I do too many layers like Jessika suggested to you. Anyway- they still look cool and I actually kind of love this color. :)

    1. This was one of the best jelly polishes from China Glaze's new neon collection. Love this color. And I do like the look, it was easy enough to do.
