Today I'm combining prompts for #TheLacquerRing and the #31DC2016. I've managed to come up with a cool design that addresses both prompts and let me tell you, it wasn't easy. #TheLacquerRing has a color prompt for today which is Burnt Orange and #31DC2016 is Metallic. I didn't want to do two separate mani's because one a day is enough stress.
I finally landed on this look, inspired by this look from Vanity Projects. If you don't follow them, you should. They do super cool looks! Anywho, my base is OPI It's a Piazza Cake which is the perfect burnt orange polish. It's a perfect deep pumpkin orange. I did like a brushstrokey negative space look, which didn't translate well once I added the foil.
I then went in with some nail foils in Metallic Gold and added a "stripe" to each nail. I wish I'd placed them a bit lower, but I love the way the gold isn't perfect and lets the orange peek through. There you have. Two prompts in one...BAM!
