I started out with a base of Bedtime Paradox by Flossy Lacquers. This is a squishy black jelly filled with holographic glitters and white hexes. It becomes opaque after 3 layers, and I love the way the polish layers and how the glitters peek through. It's so awesome.
After letting my base dry, I added on some skulls and bones to the tips in white and black acrylic paint. The acrylic paint doesn't dry as fast, so it makes it really easy to work with. Plus if you screw up, it comes right off. AND if you get any on your skin, just wash your hands after you topcoat your design. Seeing as it was my first time working with it, it wasn't perfect, but I can see why people like using them for detailed designs.
Have you done any Halloween designs? Please leave a link in the comments, as I would love to see them!
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

I was just feeling bummed that I haven't been able to do any halloween nails this year, and probably won't be able to since my nails are still all messed up from the move :( Now this made me more bummed...ok not more bummed, just anxious!
ReplyDeleteAlso I've never tried acrylic nail art, I see nothing wrong with it and you did a great job.
Aww...well there is still Thanksgiving and Christmas nails to do. The acrylic paint is so easy for the little details. It's much more workable.
DeleteI love that indie polish - it looks so dark and mysterious, and your skulls look great! I don't use acrylic paint very often because I find it stains my nails.. but maybe that's just my base coat being bad :P
ReplyDeleteThanks! It really is a great polish. I'm just using the acrylic paint for tiny little details, so I haven't seen any staining yet, but I'll be sure to keep my eye out for staining from it.
Deleteawwww i love this one! love this color too !!
ReplyDeleteI know right. I adore the indie polish I used in this one.
