A couple of weeks ago I asked on Twitter and Facebook what people thought of using acrylic paints for nail art? I've seen other bloggers use it, and I was curious. Do people consider it cheating in nail art? I ordered a little set online and tested it out on my first Halloween look ever!
I started out with a base of Bedtime Paradox by Flossy Lacquers. This is a squishy black jelly filled with holographic glitters and white hexes. It becomes opaque after 3 layers, and I love the way the polish layers and how the glitters peek through. It's so awesome.

After letting my base dry, I added on some skulls and bones to the tips in white and black acrylic paint. The acrylic paint doesn't dry as fast, so it makes it really easy to work with. Plus if you screw up, it comes right off. AND if you get any on your skin, just wash your hands after you topcoat your design. Seeing as it was my first time working with it, it wasn't perfect, but I can see why people like using them for detailed designs.
Have you done any Halloween designs? Please leave a link in the comments, as I would love to see them!
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee
