The Alchemy Collection from Cirque

OH EM GEE ya'll! If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you know that last weekend I got my greedy little hands on the Alchemy Collection from Cirque. OH MY GAWD they are so pretty. I'm just going to warn you now, this is going to be a very picture heavy post.

This collection consists of 10 beautiful polishes that showcase Alchemy in all its magical forms.

Up first the 3 Holographic polishes in the collection.

This is Magnum Opus, described as "a mysterious purple-charcoal finish with a rainbow holographic finish" Magnum Opus usually describes the greatest work of an artist. This polish is great and Annie is an artist.

Next up is Chrysopoeia, described as a "sunny marigold with a rainbow holographic finish." In Ancient Alchemy, Chrysopoeia is the ability to transmute things to gold, which is exactly what this polish does to your fingertips.

The last holographic in this collection is Mink. Mink is described as a "chocolate brown with a rainbow holographic finish."

Next we move to full coverage glitters. These are all made of tiny hex glitters and slightly bigger hex glitters. All three are full coverage in just 2 coats. However, if you did one coat over a base color, it would also be gorgeous.

Chainmail is a "cool gunmetal microglitter with holographic sparks."

Ica Valley is described as a "golden beige micro-glitter mimicking sand dunes, only sparklier." Ice Valley also has those holographic glints.

Stella is a "romantic rose gold glitter." I did some research and as far as I can tell, Stella is named for the  "Stella Complexionis Treatise" which details how to turn water into wine.

Moving onto the duo-chrome finishes, which of course, I had a really time capturing in my photos.

Lichen is a beautiful "golden olive that shifts to grassy green at different angles." Lichen used to be very common ingredients in ancient potions.

Baptisia is a "shimmery midnight indigo." For me this one flashes from the beautiful indigo (which I FAILED to capture) to a sumptuous almost navy blue.

The next two polishes are unique to themselves within this collection.

Arcane Fire (awesome name!) is a "deep ruby red with multi-faceted gold sparks." This is a crelly type polish with gold in it, which makes for an awesome polish.

Finally we have Vectors. Vectors is a glitter "a bold glitter topper made of black glitter in myriad of shapes and sizes" that is best layered over other colors. There is also very fine sparkly glitter in this polish, which you can't see well in my pictures.

From what I can tell Vectors contains mini hexes, bar glitter, circle glitter, large hexes, diamonds, squares, star glitter, and it is sooooo pretty.

My favorites from this collection are Vectors (it was a surprise favorite) and Arcane Fire. However, I love them all! Which one is your favorite?

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee
