Slim French with Essie

So I don't think it's any surprise that I like to play with my nail shape. A while ago, I decided to go square again, because I wanted to do a specific look. Mainly the slim french tip. It's just not something you can pull off on any other nail shape. Think how crazy it'd look on a round nail or ballerina shape.

My base is Essie Cashmere Bathrobe and the french is done with Essie Beyond Cozy. It's so simple to add that little french across the bottom but I feel like it really makes it pop.

Then for funsies....I topped it with a matte topcoat. Love the way it looks matte.

So funny thing, when I was done wearing this look. I immediately went back to round nails. I just can't pick a shape and stay with it. What's your favorite nail shape?

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

  1. I love fun coloured french nails like this! As far as nail shape, I always end up going to square or squoval. Every time I change to something else I regret it, lol!

    1. I'm usually in the oval range but I do like to change it up.

  2. I love the matte look! I've always had square nails. I went round for a very short period of time but only because the corners were breaking a lot. In general I love square nails on anyone, so thats just what I've felt comfortable with.

    1. I think it makes it so much better matte. I need to remember to matte more looks.

  4. I love this matted! I'm a fan of flat top and slightly rounded edges but those constantly break on me. I don't like rounded tips but it is the only way they won't break. :/
