Holo-Day Cheer with Cirque

I can't not buy holiday themed polishes. I'm such a sucker. When Cirque announced their Christmas and Hanukkah polishes, I was all...yeah those will be mine. I also threw The Devil Wears Cirque in the bag too. I was eager to try out one of Annie's new cremes. She does everything else to perfection, so it makes sense that the creme polish would be great too.
The Devil wears Cirque is the perfect brick red creme polish. I'm wearing 2 coats here, it applied smoothly and easily.
I then applied Cirque Holo-Day Cheer on all fingers except the middle. Holo-Day Cheer is a Christmas themed glitter topper filled with red, green, silver glitters in all shapes and sizes. I see stars, triangles, circles, hexes and more in the mix. On my middle finger I applied Lonesome George in a tree shape. Lonesome George is a jewel toned green with a beautiful holographic finish. My tree needed some twinkly lights so I used Cirque 8 Crazy Nights, a Hanukkah themed polish to add the lights.
What do you think? Are you loving this design? I want to see your holiday looks too! Come show me on FB!
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Picture Polish Peacock & NCLA Wraps

I'm deep into the holiday manis but I've had this post sitting in my draft for months. I thought you might appreciate a break from the Christmas looks so I'm posting this. I love everything peacock themed. Really, I love the colors that can be found in their feathers. I'm a sucker for those particular jewel tones. I even used them as my color inspiration for my wedding. So when I saw these NCLA nail wraps, I knew they needed to be mine.
I chose to pair my nail wraps with Picture Polish Peacock. Perfect name for the perfect pairing! Peacock is a deep purple jelly base filled with teal sparkles. I'm so loving this combo. The way the polish and the nail wraps match up work really well. I got a little wrinkle on my pinky from the wrap not fitting perfectly, but overall I'm a fan.
What do you think of nail wraps? Yay or nay? I think they make for a fun accent, but usually I'll pick polish over the wrap.

Peppermint Swirls & Gingerbread Men

I'm on Holiday overload and I don't care who knows it. I want to do all the holiday looks! Seriously though, I'm so festive it hurts. Today is a two-fer post. You get two holiday looks in one post. Fun huh?
Up first is Bellaluna Cosmetics Enchanted Woodlands* with a peppermint swirl accent nail. I created the swirl with a KBShimmer Winter Holiday Vinyl and Sinful Colors Snow Me White. Those vinyls make it so easy. Stick it on, paint over it, pull it off and voila...easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Next is Bellaluna Cosmetics Cinnamaspice*. Looking at this polish brings to mind adorable delicious little gingerbread me. With white acrylic paint I added the traditional Gingerbread man details to each nail. This was another quick but festive look.
What do you think? Which food themed manicure is your favorite?

#StampingSaturday: Subtle Sweaters
Saturday, December 13, 2014
12/13/2014 12:28:00 PM
I'm going to make this post short and sweet. Hopefully. I need to finish Christmas shopping today and I'm planning on undertaking the chaos that is NYC Macy's two weekends before Christmas. Pray that I make it out alive.
This look was actually done as an Instagram guest post for @journailism. But on IG you can't get the whole story so I'll show you everything here today too! I started off with a base of F.U.N. Lacquer's Anna. Anna is a baby blue to lavender duochrome with holographic sparkles thrown in. It makes for a beautiful icy looking polish.

I then stamped on some subtle sweater patterns from MoYou London Fashionista 02 plate with OPI French Quarter for Your Thoughts.
I love the subtle cozy look this gives off. Don't you just want to cuddle. Please link up your #StampingSaturday look below or use the hashtag on IG to join us.

Christmas Tree and Twinkly Lights
Thursday, December 11, 2014
12/11/2014 11:32:00 PM
Just a quick post before I go to bed. I wanted to show you all the adorable Christmas tree mani I did. I love this one so much I already want to redo it. Next time I want the tree on one finger though.
I started off with a base of Bellaluna Cosmetics Peppermint Stick* then used Lightning Bolt Nail Vinyls to mark off the tree. The shape of the bolts really lends itself to the tree which is awesome. I then polished the tree in Zoya Verushka* a beautiful matte green. I almost left it just like that but at the last minute I decided to add some "lights" to the tree. Cirque Electric Circus turned out to be the perfect polish to create twinkling lights for my tree.
What do you think? Do you like the tree between two fingers or should I try it all on one next time?
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Reindeer Games
Thursday, December 11, 2014
12/11/2014 12:23:00 PM
It's the holiday season and its hard not to do the same festive looks over and over again. But sometimes you want something a smidge different. After wearing Bellaluna Cosmetic's Toffee the other day, I really wanted to turn it into a reindeer. But not a typical reindeer. After looking at some pictures, I fell in love with their speckled hides and chose to recreate that.
I started out with a base of Toffee* and then used a makeup sponge to dab on an imperfect gradient of Zoya Spencer*. Once that was dry I used OPI Alpine Snow and a dotting tool to add the speckles in a random pattern. This look was super easy and fast to create, but I love it so hard. I got so many compliments and did not want to take it off.
What do you think of this look? It's a new twist on reindeer inspired mani's and on animal prints as well.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Christmas Lights and Ornaments
Thursday, December 11, 2014
12/11/2014 01:59:00 AM
I showed you all some polishes from new indie line Bellaluna Cosmetics earlier this week. Today I have a holiday look that I put together using Sugar Plum Fairy* and Enchanted Woodlands*. I also used KBShimmer's Winter Holiday Vinyls to created this look.
I started off with a base of Sugar Plum Fairy and when that was dry laid down the vinyls in the shape of Christmas lights and some ornaments. I then used a small piece of a makeup sponge to dab on Enchanted Woodlands over the vinyls. I then pulled off the vinyls, leaving a cool holiday look.
I think the light strings are my favorite. Vinyls make life so much easier sometimes. I really love the way these two polishes compliment each other. They make a stunning combo. What holiday looks have you been wearing lately?
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee
