Digital Dozen: Tropical Sunset
Wednesday, August 15, 2018
8/15/2018 11:14:00 AM
Day 3 and the hot-streak continues! WHO AM I? I'm going to make this post short and sweet because I'm writing it during a baby nap and it's game on if she wakes up. So basically, I love sunsets over the beach and here's that on my nails. Whoo!
This look came together with all the Painted Polish I own. Not really (I own way more than these)....but they are my go-to stamping polish so I default to them alot. I used the Lina Make Your Mark 03 plate to make my gradient with Painted Polish Autumn Twilight 2.0, Stamped in Taro, Stamped in Salmon, and Stamped in Starfruit. That gradient stamp is GENUIS and so easy to use. I also used Uber Chic 2-03 and Painted Polish Midnight Mischief for the palm trees.
Baby is waking up....gotta run!!!
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#31DC2016: Half Moons
Sunday, September 18, 2016
9/18/2016 08:50:00 PM
Today is all about Half Moons. I took the moon portion very SERIOUSLY. You'll see in a moment. But first lets look at the gorgeous base polish that I used, because when I say gorgeous I mean it. This is Emily de Molly Reign of Osiris. This is a deep blue holographic polish with subtle gold shimmer.
This might be my new favorite look of the challenge. I really love the way the moons came out. Tomorrow is galaxies!
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee
Since Reign of Osiris looks like a deep night sky, I stamped on starts with Uber Chic Plate 2-03 in MoYou London White Knight. I then went in with Cirque Colors Carpe Diem and Cirque Colors Memento Mori to create some moons for my Half Moons. HOW FUN?!

#31DC2015: Galaxy and #StampingSaturday
Saturday, September 19, 2015
9/19/2015 10:00:00 AM
Another day another #31DC2015 look. Today is also #StampingSaturday so once again, I've combined the two. Today's challenge prompt is Galaxies. I love a good galaxy look. They are so fun, yet so easy to do.
For today's look I started with a base of Polished by KPT Wreath for the Stars. This beauty looks like a galaxy in a bottle, so it makes the perfect base for a this prompt. This polish is a black base filled with green to purple color shift and silver holographic glitters. I used three thin coats for full coverage.
There you have it! Galaxies on my fingers. Tomorrow is my ultimate nail art nemesis, the dreaded water marble! We'll see how it goes.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

I then went in with a TON of polishes to great the galaxies. I started with a neon purple polish that I picked up from Cirque Colors sample sale. I then layered on Maybelline Color Show Ultra Violet, Polished by KPT Underneath the Milky Way, Color Club In De-Nile and Over the Moon. Once my galaxy bases were done, I stamped on stars from Uber Chic 2-03 and the supernova image from Bundle Monster BM-610. The white polish is Sinful Colors Snow Me White.

#StampingSaturday: Nautical by Nature
Saturday, August 29, 2015
8/29/2015 02:21:00 PM
Let's start #StampingSaturday with story time shall we. I grew up on boats. Mainly sailboats. My dad was an Olympic contender and I literally remember spending every Saturday, most Sundays, and alot of weeknights with him at the lake, whether watching from shore (aka swimming) or being on the boat with him. It's something that I grew up with and that I still love to this day. Any chance to be on the water, I'll take.
So really the point of the story is...how the heck did it take me so long to do nautical nails? Well finally, I did. I guess I was waiting for the right polish to inspire me and Delush Polish Nautical by Nature was the one. I started with two thin coats of this polish. I did have to place some glitters, but it wasn't anything unusual.
Then I went in with Uber Chic 2-03 and Sinful Colors Snow Me White for the stamping. I did some rope, a little anchor, seahorses, a compass. It was looking good....then I ruined it. Because I'm a big old dummy. I thought it needed some more pop, so I added some Models Own Rose Chrome. That was the downfall.
What do you think? The only thing I really liked after getting crazy was the thumb (above). Be sure to check out all the other ladies below in the link up!

Shark Week!
Monday, July 6, 2015
7/06/2015 05:05:00 PM
Do ya'll ever do a mani that you are soooo IN LOVE with that you just have to shove your hands in everyone's face? That's me today. 3 things triggered this mani...1. It's Shark Week on the Discovery channel 2.I got an awesome polish called Shark Bait 3. I have an awesome shark stamp. So I give....you JAWS!!!
But first, lets look at my base. I started with Cirque's NYFW! I adore Annie's blues and this one is stunning. I used three easy coats that applied like buttah!
I then topped NYFW with Polished for Days Shark Bait. I love the mix of triangle glitters, hexes, and mini hexes in white, silver, black, and a variety of blues. It's so adorable.
For my shark I used the stamp from Uber Chic 2-03 with Konad Black. I filled him in with Cirque New Moon, because I wanted to have a realistic sheen to the shark. His gums are Essie Cute as a Button and the teeth are Sinful Colors Snow Me White!
I just want to sing duunnn dunnn... duuuunnnn duun... duuunnnnnnnn dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dunnnnnnnnnnn dunnnn while showing my shark to people. I'm sure it's obnoxious, but I think it's HILARIOUS cause I'm a jerk. Anyway...who's watching shark week?
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#StampingSaturday: Run Away with Me
Saturday, May 2, 2015
5/02/2015 11:20:00 AM
ITS THE WEEKEND!!!!! I've never been more excited. Life has been insane at work this week and it is FINALLY over.
My #StampingSaturday look started with a base of Essie Tuck in my Tux. Never in my life have I been more disappointed by a polish. In my mind a white jelly polish sounded awesome. However, after 3 coats, there is no leveling this sucker out. It's patchy and just weird.
Because the base was ugly, I naturally decided to stamp over it. I used Mundo de Unas Holland Blue and Uber Chic plates 1-01 and 2-03 for this look. I'm totally in love with the waves paired with the seahorses.
I swear the crispness of these MdU polishes blows me away everytime. Have you been dreaming of running off lately? Where would you go? Be sure to check out all the other stamped looks below!
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#ThePolishedBookworms: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Thursday, April 30, 2015
4/30/2015 10:25:00 PM
You may remember that I'm part of a little group called The Polished Bookworms. This is a group for polish lovers to get together read a fun book, discuss, and then do a mani inspired by the book. If this sounds like something you'd like, maybe you should join us. *hint hint*
Anyways, I was inspired by the book in so many ways. There were so many quotes that stuck out. I started with a base of Zoya Storm, which is obviously the best choice for a galaxy base ever!
I then used a bunch of polishes to create a galaxy look. Light blue is Zoya Rocky, dark blue is OPI Eurso Euro, also used were Orly After Party, and Morgan Taylor If the Slipper Fits. I then stamped on stars with Uber Chic 2-03 and Sinful Colors Snow Me White, topping it all off with China Glaze Fairy Dust.
Once my galaxy was done, I decided to pay tribute to the most integral part of the book. "Don't Panic" is the first thing every time you check the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. “I like the cover," he said. "Don't Panic. It's the first helpful or intelligible thing anybody's said to me all day.” - Arthur Dent. The words were done with OPI This Gown Needs a Crown and Konad Black.
On my thumb I give you the answer to the question, the BIG question. “The Answer to the Great Question... Of Life, the Universe and Everything... Is... Forty-two,' said Deep Thought, with infinite majesty and calm.”
If you stuck it out this long, perhaps you'd like to take a peek at other ladies who did a Hitchhiker's Guide looks as well.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee
