A Unicorn Farted in My Polish

A while ago my sweet friend Amanda purchased all the girls a beautiful polish, Dollish Polish A Unicorn Farted in my Polish. We decided to all use them together, but I'm a loser and am a day late. Sorry ladies!

I decided to take this in a literal since because that polish name is amazeballs. In my head it looked so much cooler. I started with a base of Cirque Colors Jane on Jane Street which is stunning. It deserves it's own post and I promise I'll show it to you in all it's glory soon. I then stamped a unicorn on from Nail Craze NC-02 in Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. I then swiped on some AUFIMP near the unicorns bum and slowly spread it out over the rest of my fingers.

A Unicorn Farted in My Polish is stunning. I'll leave Dolly's description here for you so you can really understand how great it is:  "Little known fact: Unicorns fart rainbows. It's true! And as he was flying over the Dollish Polish shop, he "deposited" a little gift inside each an every bottle! This glitterbomb consists of every color in the rainbow! Glitters ranging from small to large, in stars, moons, squares, dots, hexagons, rectangles and more! This really is one magical polish!"

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Stamping Saturday: Butterflies in the Garden

I think after this week I have a tie for my new favorite stamped look. My current favorite has been this look mainly because I think it turned out AMAZEBALLS. This weeks look ties with it purely because the polish I stamped over is AH-MAY-ZING! (I may be out of control here people, somebody stop me!)

The base for today's Stamping Saturday is the much coveted Emily de Molly Monet's Garden. Look at this squishy jelly sandwich in a bottle.

This was two coats and it was fully opaque. Each brushstroke was filled with squeals of glee because of the pretty. I'm 98% certain the future hubby had thought I'd finally lost my mind. I mean, look how freaking pretty it is.

Next I stamped on some butterfly wings using Nail Craze NC-02 and Konad Black polish. I love how well it stamps, but Konad Black is a bitch to clean up. Ugh.

Finally I used a dotting tool and Seche Snapdragon to add the dots on the wings. I wanted to have dots in a complimentary color, and you see those little flashes of pink in the base polish, so pink dots it is.

What do you think of my butterfly wings? Don't forget to check out all the other ladies who stamped, links are below.

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Nail Win: Monarch Wings

A few months ago, I had a giant nail fail. Like epic...I showed you here.  PEOPLE, this time, I figured it out. I've got the right color choices and everything. Since I showed you Lemon Fizz way back when during the nail fail, lets start off by looking at the other color I'm going to use today.

This is China Glaze Surreal Appeal from their Cirque de Soleil Worlds Away Collection. I love this color. Its a vivid pink leaning coral that reads so much brighter in real life. This color is a huge winner for me. I'm just a sucker for a pretty coral.

I then did a gradient over a base of Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicures Lavender Cloud (shown in this post). My gradient wasn't stellar on my ring and pinky fingers, but I really liked the way it turned out for the most part on the other fingers. Then it was on to making them butterfly wings.

I have a confession to make. These wings are from a stamp. There is no way in H-E-Double Hockey Sticks, I could ever make tiny lines that perfect. I wish I could. This is from Nail Craze plate NC01. For the butterfly spots on the wings, I decided to go with hand placed hex glitter, because well, I'm crazy like that. Sadly I did have some smearing on the middle finger, but I still loved the overall look.

What do you think about Monarch Nails? Have you tried them?

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee
