SugarPill Angel Cakes

At IMATS last weekend, SugarPill officially launched their new nail polish line. I had major grabby hands at their booth and had to rein myself in before I emptied my bank account. I chose to get two polishes from them and today I'm going to show you Angel Cakes.

Angel Cakes is a pinky-peach base that is strangely close to my skin tone. I didn't expect that at all, but it works. It's filled with glitters in mauve, pink, teal, and silver. I love the overall look of this, but I also feel like it isn't something super special and new. We've seen these crelly glitter filled polishes all over the place. This swatch is two thin coats topped with two coats of top coat for a smooth finish.

I wanted to accent Angel Cakes but I didn't want to cover it up, so I chose to polishes that matched some of the glitters, grabbed my striping tape, and went to town. I did simple stripes to add a punch of coordinating color. The teal is Jessica Dynamite Teal and the pink is Zoya Micky.

What do you think? Are you going to get any SugarPill polishes when the become available?

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Jessica Gelato Mio Collection

Recently I got my greedy little hands on the Gelato Mio Collection thanks to my good friend Cynthia.  These beautiful polishes then had to get on my fingers. These are six gorgeous cremes that apply easily. My only beef is the names, if you are going to name the collection Gelato Mio, why wouldn't you give them actual gelato names? It just doesn't make sense.

Let's take a look at the polishes now. Up first is Banana Peel. A yellowy tan that is opaque in 3 coats.

Now Barely Blueberry. This is a pale greyed blue that's really nice. This blue is unlike any other blue I have.

This is Lime Cooler. I'm in love with this green. Like oh em gee it's amazing.

Strawberry Shake It is a beautiful pale pink that is actually opaque in two coats and not sheer.

Surfer Boyz'n Berry is a gorgeous bright blue creme that has some teal in it. Obviously you know I love a good teal, so I love this.

Finally we have Tangerine Dreamz. This is an orange creme with red undertones. It's very pretty and of course has a great formula.

Which color is your favorite from this collection? As you can tell, I'm trying out a new hand pose. What do you think, I'm undecided.

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Heart Tips for Valentines Day

Hello All! Happy Valentines Day or Single Awareness Day, depending on what you choose to celebrate. The future hubs and I both have to work today so we are going out for dinner tomorrow evening. What plans do you have?

Because I need an excuse to paint my nails (hahaha, I don't really) I chose to do a simple mani celebrating the holiday.  To start off I applied a base color of Jessica Enchantress. Enchantress is a orange leaning light coral. This is 3 easy coats.

After Enchantress dried I applied tips with Jessica Atomic Red in the top shape of a heart.

Atomic Red is an orange-red that pairs perfectly with the coral of Enchantress. What do you think? My freehand isn't that amazing but I really like the way the turned out.

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Dotty Dotticure

Hi all, I'm back again with a crazy dotticure. I did this manicure on my friend Nicky, forever ago and finally just got around to editing the photos. She has gorgeous fingers and was more than happy to model for me after I completed the manicure.

This manicure was done with a base of AEngland Lancelot. What a gorgeous one coater Lancelot is. The dots are done in the following colors: Purple - Zoya Aurora, Coral - Jessica Enchantress, Pink - Essie Off the Shoulder, Blue - OPI Can't Find My Czechbook.

This was a fairly easy and quick manicure to do. You just do each color at a time on all fingers and then move onto the next color. I also enjoy the way the 5 colors go together.

Anywho, Nicky enjoyed the manicure. And I enjoyed a girls night.

Enjoy & until next time, Amy
