I wanted to do an Easter-ish type mani, but more of an interpretation. I started off with a base of Habit Belle Epoque. Belle Epoque is a greyed out blurple type color. As my first experience with Habit, I enjoyed it. This was two easy coats with a great formula. My only problem is with the cap, it looks great, but makes applying the polish difficult because it's hard to hold. I wish the wood popped off and left you with an easier handle to apply with.
After letting Belle Epoque dry a bit I added a layer of Essie Shine of the Times. Over Belle Epoque, I really didn't get much of the green flash, but the pink flash added in that extra layer of fun.
Then I stamped on a pebble design from Winstonia W-112 with Konad White. I had a bit of a smudge happen on my middle finger, but over all I really like the look. Now that I'm staring at it more, I kind of wish I had done the stamp in silver. Oh well, live and learn. I think they look like cute speckled eggs, J says they look like Yoshi eggs, so I'm calling it a win.
I got good reviews on the new hand pose, so I'm going to try it out for a bit and see what I think. Happy Easter Everyone!!
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Belle with the topped Essie reminds me of SC's Zeus so I like it. I like the speckled egg pebbles, cute as a button
ReplyDeleteThanks dear. I've never heard of SC Zues so I'm off to google it.
DeleteI love the base color, but that cap would annoy the crap out of me too.
ReplyDeleteThe polish was awesome, but that cap made application annoying. It's a shame too because they have this awesome neon purple I'd buy in a heartbeat if I didn't have to put up with that cap.
DeleteI think white was a good choice, silver may not have stood out enough over the flakies. These are more like glam Yoshi eggs :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe you are right about the white/silver. I went back and forth deciding.
