#TheLacquerRing: White

I know that you all anxiously await our bi-monthly #TheLacquerRing posts (or is it just me?). I love pairing up with the girls to all use the same prompt and see how we interpret it differently. As you may remember from previous months, we always do a color for the first prompt and an art prompt for the second. Today we are doing White nails.
I started with a base of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls for this look. MBSW's is the perfect white. It isn't as stark as some and applies perfectly in two even coats.
Now, I know there isn't a lot of difference between the first picture I showed you and this next one. But bear with me. I topped OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls with a thick coat of Serum No 5 Sky Lights which is a shimmer filled glow in the dark topper. For an extra surprise I used the Love Angeline Stuck on Love Dahlia Nail Shields to create a fun invisible pattern on two nails. When you are in the dark, it's a fun surprise on the nails.
TA DAH! I'm totally geeking out over the fact that I managed to FINALLY get a decent shot of a glow in the dark nail polish. See the fun pattern?!?
Be sure to check out other fun #TLR looks in White from the ladies below.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Voodoo that You Do So Well

So remember last year how I was losing my mind over directing a bunch of kids in Aladdin? Well we've started up again. I love Wednesday's because I get to go spend time with those kids. Even though they are a little crazy (ok a lot) they are always excited to participate and be acting. This year...we're doing Annie. I might regret that, we'll see how it goes.
Today, I'm bouncing back to the current nail shape. I couldn't wait to wear Beyond the Nail Voodoo* and show it to you all. This is the perfect crelly glitter combo for Halloween. It's a white base filled with small black circle glitters and medium orange hexes.
Because this is a Halloween polish and I can't help myself, I added a devil stamp from MyOnlineShop Jr-22 and drips from Uber Chic Halloween-01 in Mundo de Unas Tulip. Tulip is a perfect match for the orange glitters.
Here's a straight swatch, so you can see Voodoo in all it's glory. I can't love this one enough.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

ILNP Clockwork

Today I'm going to bounce back to the #31DC2015 and a different nail shape as this was a swatch that came out of it, but wasn't shown off. ILNP Clockwork is the most amazing bronze holographic polish I own. It's absolutely stunning. They absolutely knocked it out of the ball park with this beauty. This was two thin, easy coats for full coverage.
To say I love this would be an understatement. What do you think?

Did everyone have a wonderful weekend? Are you still enjoying it because of the holiday? Unfortunately for me, I don't get to take advantage of the holiday, but my weekend was pretty good.
So it's no secret that after holographic polishes, creme polishes are my jam. There is something about a good creme in a fun color that makes me happy. Zoya Nana is one of those. This deep fuchsia from the Island Fun collection is simply stunning. I used two coats for full coverage, and it applied perfectly.
What are your favorite types of polishes?

#StampingSaturday: Candy Corns &Unicorns

It's the weekend!!! Yeah!! Picture me running out of work yesterday doing the Braveheart Freedom yell. This week was long, I could not wait for it to be over.
Today, I have a simple but fun look that I totally love. It's no secret that I adore the Lacquer Lust Unicorn series, so of course I needed Lacquer Lust Candy Corns & Unicorns. I paired it with a fun candy corn decal from Uber Chic Halloween-01. It's filled in with Beyond the Nail Pumpkin Spice and Cupcake Polish Don't Worry Bee Happy.
The yellow bled through my white stamping polish, which was a bit of a bummer, but from far away it looks awesome. Be sure to add your link below and join us in our Facebook group!

A Unicorn Farted in My Polish
Friday, October 9, 2015

A while ago my sweet friend Amanda purchased all the girls a beautiful polish, Dollish Polish A Unicorn Farted in my Polish. We decided to all use them together, but I'm a loser and am a day late. Sorry ladies!
I decided to take this in a literal since because that polish name is amazeballs. In my head it looked so much cooler. I started with a base of Cirque Colors Jane on Jane Street which is stunning. It deserves it's own post and I promise I'll show it to you in all it's glory soon. I then stamped a unicorn on from Nail Craze NC-02 in Sally Hansen Silver Sweep. I then swiped on some AUFIMP near the unicorns bum and slowly spread it out over the rest of my fingers.
A Unicorn Farted in My Polish is stunning. I'll leave Dolly's description here for you so you can really understand how great it is: "Little known fact: Unicorns fart rainbows. It's true! And as he was flying over the Dollish Polish shop, he "deposited" a little gift inside each an every bottle! This glitterbomb consists of every color in the rainbow! Glitters ranging from small to large, in stars, moons, squares, dots, hexagons, rectangles and more! This really is one magical polish!"
Check out more looks from Amanda and Fross.

Grumpy Pumpkin

I mentioned recently that I had a bad break and had to go down to nubs again. Well since I was in mourning for my awesome coffin nails, I decided to wear black polish on my nubs. But not just any black polish, because that would be boring. ;-) I decided on Beyond the Nail Holographic Black Microglitter* that is part of their Halloween line. Just because I'm sad about my nubs, doesn't mean I can't be fabulous. I used three thin coats for full coverage, and I did top it with a generous portion of top coat, because it dried a little gritty.
I wore it on it's own for a few days, because it was hard to cover up the pretty, but finally I decided to add a little Halloween fun. I stamped on a lined pattern from Uber Chic 2-01 and a grumpy pumpkin (he's so adorable) from Uber Chic Halloween-01 in Mundo de Unas Geranium.
I'm totally in love with the grumpy pumpkin. I love his "disappointed in you face". What do you think?
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee
