Icon Duos: Tangerine and Cobalt Blue

Today, I want to show you the final Cirque Colors Icon Duo pairing. These were created exclusively for the Nordstrom x OC pop in. Each pairing consists of a holographic and creme polish. See swatches of all six colors here and nail art for the dusty pink & olive green combo as well as the icy blue & mahogany duo.

Today we're looking at the Tangerine & Cobalt Blue duo. For this look I used Cirque Colors Tangerine Dream as my base. Then I freehanded (not very well) some stripes and a rectangle in Cirque Colors Selvedge for a fun abstract look.

I absolutely adore the way these polishes pair. It's a great color combo. You can see the info below for where to purchase and pricing.

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Cirque Colors ICON DUOS for Nordstrom x OC Pop In

Today I have some exciting new Cirque Colors duos to show you. These six beauties will be part of the new Nordstrom Pop In that features "Opening Ceremony" - an iconic lifestyle brand and boutique founded in New York City. Cirque Colors were asked to make duos based on specific color palettes inspired by Opening Ceremony. Each duo comes with a creme and holographic polish. They are perfect for holiday gifts and retail for $22 each. Did I mention that these will be available tomorrow, November 25th!  So let's check them out and you can find details on where and how to purchase below.

Up first is the Dusty Pink/Olive Green Duo. El Capitan is an olive green creme that applied easily in two coats. This was a surprise love for me as usually these types of green don't look great on my skin tone, but this one is a beauty!

The other half of the duo is Modern Muse a shimmery dusty holographic pink. This one will make you drool! It applied easily in two coats.

The next duo is all about Mahogany and Ice Blue. Oporto is a STUNNING rich mahogany holographic filled with glowing red embers. Have you ever sat in the dark and stared into the embers of a bonfire....this polish reminds me of that. It applied beautifully, two quick easy coats and I was on my way.

Next up is the other half of this duo, Icy Blue. This beauty is Storm King. A. I love that Name B. I love this creme. Storm King is a muted icy blue creme, that applies easily in two coats.

The third duo consits of Tangerine and Cobalt Blue. Up first is the Cobalt Blue, Seldvedge. Basically, everything you need to know about this deep cobalt blue is this..it's awesome, I love it, and its a ONE COATER!! Yup!

The final half of the final duo is the tangerine holographic, Tangerine Dream. This spicy orange holographic applies easily in two coats for full coverage.

These polishes are Nordstrom Exclusives and will only be available from November 25 - January 3. Each set comes with a creme and holographic polish and retails for $22 (valued at $26). These can be purchased online HERE or at the following locations.

Tangerine Dream & Rock Candy

Hey All! I'm back today to show you the second installment of the Julie G Frosted Gumdrops swatches. Today I've got Tangerine Dream and Rock Candy to show you.

Tangerine Dream is a very pretty orangey-yellow with tiny gold sparkles in it. Looking at this collection, I thought this would be my least favorite and I was pleasantly surprised. While I think this color will look better on me while I'm a bit more tan during the summer, I love it.

Application for Tangerine Dream was easy, but it is a the sheerest of the six colors. I ended up using three coats here. As usual I waited in between each coat to minimize dragging.

Next up we have Rock Candy. Those of you that know me in real life know teal is my favorite color. So its no surprise that Rock Candy is my favorite from the collection. Hello Gorgeous! Rock Candy is a medium teal with silver sparkles and larger silver hex glitters in the mix.

Application was easy and you're looking at two coats here as well. I ended up actually swatching Rock Candy last and wearing it for a few days. I had no problems and only a small chip before I removed it. Removal of these polishes is easiest with the foil method, as the remove very similar to glitter polishes.

What do you think of these colors? Do you have a favorite?

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee
