The Digital Dozen: Black - Day 2
Tuesday, February 14, 2017
2/14/2017 11:16:00 PM
Since day 2 of our Digital Dozen Black-fest is Valentine's Day, I just had to get a little festive and in the holiday spirit. My holiday was super boring (HELLO it's Tuesday), but the hubs and I went out to dinner over the weekend and he did send me cookies instead of flowers. That man just gets me.
For today's look, I started with a fun base. It's SugarPill Meteora, a blackened base filled with colorful glitters. It's pretty sheer going on, so to get it opaque I had to use three coats. Thankfully, it's easy to apply and has great glitter payoff.
I then went in with a heart pattern from MoYou London Pro Collection XL-08 and created a gradient stamp using the following Mundo De Unas polishes, Reddish, Nabu, Orchid, Tulip.
It's a fun simple look, but I love the way the the hearts pop against the black base and the glitters pop through. Be sure to check out all the other fun looks below.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#31DC2016: Inspired by Art
Tuesday, September 27, 2016
9/27/2016 01:44:00 PM
I love that art can come in so many different forms and you can defiently see that reflected in this prompt. Take a look at all the other ladies down below for a perfect example. Recently the hubs and I bought a Banksy print to hang in our homes. When this prompt rolled around I knew I'd have to go that route. Thankfully I have the prefect stamping plate, MoYou London Rebel 02, for the job.
I started with a base of the stunning Ever After Polish The Pumpkin King. Really I had just gotten it in the mail and I NEEDED to wear it, but I also love the texture it gave to my overall look.
I then went in with Bundle Monster BM-422 and Mundo de Unas Dark Grey to add texture and create my walls. Once that was done I used Painted Polish Midnight Mischief to create the graffiti outlines and then Mundo de Unas Reddish for the heart.
I'm in love with the way this look came together.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#TheLacquerRing: Dotticure
Thursday, February 25, 2016
2/25/2016 11:14:00 AM
#TheLacquerRing is back with another fun prompt for February. This month we're rocking dotticure's for our art looks and I'm already loving the different takes on it that the ladies are coming up with. I went a direction I've never tried before and I'm digging how it turned out.
For the base of today's look, I wanted something that would work as a neutral-ish base, but I wanted it to have a fun element. While digging through my drawers I landed on China Glaze The Ten Man. This beauty has been sitting in my drawer forever, neglected. Well not anymore! I used three coats for full coverage as the formula was thin and sheer. It's a silvery-white base filled with silver glitters.
Once my base was dry, using the clear stamper from Girly Bits I went in with dots from Uber Chic 1-03 in two colors. I tried to layer them for a three dimensional effect. The base dot is Mundo de Unas Reddish and the top dot is Mundo de Unas Fiji. I love the color combo of red and teal, so this was a fun way to incorporate them together. As a side note...the clear stamper from Girly Bits is the bomb dot com. It's everything I wanted the original to be!
So there it is. My 3D dotticure. Be sure to check out the other ladies and their dots below.
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#31DC2015: Stripes & #StampingSaturday
Saturday, September 12, 2015
9/12/2015 11:49:00 PM
It's another dual duty post today! I'm doubling up again on the #31DC2015 and #StampingSaturday. Today's prompt was Stripes. I thought stripes should be easy enough. I had good intentions, but I'm not sure I like where I ended up here. Meh...you tell me what you think.
I started off with a base of Dance Legend No.529 Deco Dance. This was an exclusive to Llarowe's shop. It's a royal purple jelly base filled with rainbow flakies. The flakies look way cooler in the bottle than they do on my nails. I hate when that happens.
I then stamped on some stripes in Mundo de Unas Reddish with MoYou London Pro Collection 1. I was trying to play off the red in the flakies but it didn't work out quite like I'd imagined. Instead of a cool effect I ended up with witches socks.
There you have it! #StampingSaturday and #31DC2015 stripes. Tomorrow is animal print and I really love my idea. I hope it works like I want it too!
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

The Beauty Buffs: Lisa Frank Inspired
Wednesday, April 29, 2015
4/29/2015 02:18:00 PM
Recently I was invited to join a group called The Beauty Buffs, who do monthly blog posts. I'm really excited to be among their ranks and my first post with them is all about Lisa Frank. If you grew up in the early 90's you'll remember the days of Lisa Frank and Trapper Keepers. If you didn't or don't know what I'm talking about, get your butt to Google now! Those neon kittens/penguins/leopards/unicorns/etc were my jam in elementary school.
For my look, I created quite the mish mash look for you, but I love the way it looks. I'll list all products used at the end of the post. My base is silver holographic foil which I stamped the looks over!
Products used:
Thumb: Mundo de Unas Reddish, Uber Chic 1-03
Pointer: Konad Black, W101 (leopard print stamp), China Glaze TMI (pink), China Glaze Plur-ple, Floss Gloss Wet
Middle: Mundo de Unas Mexican Pink, Konad Black, BM307 (butterfly stamp), China Glaze I Herd That (glitter)
Ring: Konad Black, BM223 (tiger print stamp)
Pinky: Mundo de Unas Turquoise, pink circle studs, BM16 (flower stamp)
Base for everything is Ciate Holographic Silver foil with Dance Legend Glitter Off
Could these be more Lisa Frank in your face obnoxious, the answer is yes. But I really love the way this mish mash all comes together. Be sure to check out all the other ladies who did looks inspired by Lisa Frank!
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#StampingSaturday: Painting the Roses Reddish
Saturday, April 25, 2015
4/25/2015 10:00:00 AM
I'm living it up in Florida this weekend for a quick trip. I think I'll actually spend more time on a plane than in the state, but that's what I get for not being able to take a day off at the new job yet. So to take advantage of all the sunshine, I'm going to make this short and sweet.
Today for #StampingSaturday, I started with a base of Picture Polish LakoDom. This is a white jelly polish (it leans slightly grey) filled with scattered holographic particles. The color of the polish doesn't let the rainbows shine through much in pictures, but I promise they are there. My swatch is three thin coats for full coverage.
I then went in with Mundo de Unas Reddish and Uber Chic 1-02 to stamp on the roses pattern. MdU stamping polishes may smell like rancid gasoline, but gawd the color and crispness is to die for.
Be sure to check out all the other stamped manis below. Don't forget you can join us too!
Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee
