#31DC2015: Animal Print

Do you ever have one of those successful mani's that make you absolutely giddy with how awesome it is? That's me with today's prompt for the #31DC2015. Today is Animal Print and I'm basing my look off of the Blue Pangan Poison Arrow Frog.  I started off with a base of Lime Crime Once in a Blue Mousse. This is a bright pastel blue that is applied easily in 2 coats.

I then taped off and latexed off my fingers (I still made a huge mess, big surprise!) and used the Alcohol Water Marbling technique with Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure All Fired Up to create the patterns.

And there you have it. I think this is my favorite design from the challenge so far. Tomorrow is flower nails. Can't wait!

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

#Stamping Saturday: Pink Lace

How is everyone's weekend been so far? I flew home to Kansas Thursday evening, to spend time with family and friends. This morning some of them threw me a Bridal Shower and I got to see so many people that I love and have missed terribly since I moved to NYC. It was awesome. Since my Bridal Shower was this weekend, I really wanted to do a bride type look for the weekend.

I started off with a base of Lime Crime's Parfait Day. This pink is best described as a pastel neon. Love this pink. It looks great with just 2 coats.

I then topped it with Cirque Your Hand in Mine, which sadly doesn't show up in my pictures. Your Hand in Mine can be built up to be opaque on its own, but it also makes a great topper. It's a soft white filled with a rainbow shimmer. I then stamped on a lace pattern in Konad White from the MoYou London Bridal Collection 06 plate.

What do you think? These were just the perfect touch of bridal for a fun and festive weekend. I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend! Don't forget to link up your stamped mani below.

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee

Stamping Saturday: Silver Rainbows

Uhhh...so I think I missed the Saturday deadline by like minutes, but I'm still calling this good. I had a crazy busy day and of course I decided to do a super ambitious look for today's post. The good news is that I really love how this came together and I cannot stop staring at my nails. So lets just get down to business.

For the base of my manicure I decided I wanted to do a pastel rainbow. I used all 7 Lime Crime polishes just sponging them randomly on my nails. If you want to know a specific color please ask, but I'm to lazy to list them all out. I love how the Lime Crime polishes are bright pastels, which makes no sense, but that is the best way to describe them.

Because I'm a sucker for holographic sparkles I decided to top that with China Glaze Fairy Dust.

Finally I stamped a full coverage design from BM-408 in Sally Hansen Insta Dri Silver Sweep. The full coverage design lets the rainbows and sparkles peek through making a really neat look, that is fun to view from all angles.

I think this may be my favorite Stamping Saturday look yet. What do you think?

Lime Crime Chevrons

Ok y'all! I have some manis to show you that were shot with my old camera, but I can't wait to show you pics from my new camera, so this mani cut the line.

One of the things I asked for for Christmas was the Lime Crime Les Desserts d' Antoinette collection. I never actually thought I would get them as J thinks I have to much polish (we all know I disagree with him). But he came through and man am I in love. Look at these pretties.

Also, I'm in love with my new camera!! (AND I just realized the orange polish isn't in this picture, but I have it, I swear).

For this mani I started off with a base of Lime Crime Milky Ways, a buff neutral polish with peach undertones. It is so unique and gorgeous.

Then for an accent nail I used the chevron tape from Sticky Nails on my ring finger and painted over it with Lavendairy. On the rest of my fingers I added small purple round studs.

I really enjoy the look of this mani! Super fun but simple. Also, can you all tell I changed my nail shape? When they are square I always manage to break just the corners, so after a bad break, I thought maybe I should give round nails a go. So far I like them, and they seem a bit stronger.

Enjoy & until next time, Amy Lee
